The 's --Very well supplied kitchen, woodburning fireplace (very few in the area) spacious and good layout for 4-6 people. Unfortunately, many not so positives --Arrived about 1/2-hr early with intention of unloading car while waiting for rest of our party to arrive for 4pm check-in. Instead, had to find a shovel to scoop 4 inches of (trampled on) snow off the wrap around deck to front door. Called Avant and they accommodated early check-in (since couldn't unload onto the deck) but why didn't whoever walked all over the snow shovel it off? Once in, questioned if unit had even been cleaned. Found long black hairs on pillows, on bath floors and in shower and empty soda bottle under upstairs bed. Then found no parking passes in the HOA packet, only wristbands (which are basically irrelevant in winter). Another call to Avant, who delivered next day and offered to reclean but we were already settled. Another big issue ... the alarm kept beeping. When touched "off" it triggered the front door to alarm when opened. This should just be disabled / disarmed when being rented, or, the owner needs to leave the override code in case of such issues.Anyway ... We're pretty low-maintenance renters but between the many issues, general run-down / dirty condition of property (the carpet just needs to be torn out) and the restrictiveness of the HOA, will not rent here again if return to the area. ##### JEFFREY H. The house is very nice but doesn’t have air conditioning, so it’s a bit stuffy in the summer. Overall it was a nice trip! ##### Jared H. I’ll get the cons out of the way first. - The trash setup here is absolutely ridiculous. You have to load up your trash and take it a few miles away from the house for disposal, it’s a whole process and is incredibly inconvenient for the cost of the home.- The wristbands for amenities access. We got 8 bands and there were 5 of us. If we wanted to utilize amenities more than one day we just had to keep the wristbands on - showering, sleeping, etc. It was really off putting and we opted to only utilize one day rather than keep grubby, paper wristbands on for days.Other than those things, we LOVED this home and the location. Deer wondered up to the back porch often and just hung out, our kids loved it. We also had a nighttime visit from a raccoon. The neighborhood was quiet and calm, no speeding or rowdy people. The home had everything we could’ve possibly needed and we appreciated that so much. The beds were comfortable, the game rooms were a blast and we really just adored the screened in porch. If you choose to stay, we can’t recommend the Pocono Farmers Market in Blakeslee highly enough!! (Go hungry! We were bummed that the nets on the tennis court were down and not usable (didn't realize they were part of the office season), but otherwise the neighborhood was great. The beds are crazy marshmallow soft, so a heads up if you prefer a firm mattress! ##### Rebecca N. Only thing was, the driveway was a solid sheet of ice when we arrived and we were traveling with little kids. The outside could of been cleared when we arrived so we could of used the closer driveway and sidewalk. The outside lights did not work, but had flashlights inside the cabin. The inside had a stuffy, moldy smell. Had to purchase new air freshner. A lot of cobwebs around front door, around outside of cabin and needed dusting inside. The most bothering thing that almost ruined the trip was that the master bedroom sheets had not been washed and the entire bed was covered in dog hair and dirt. Few of the small appliances had not been cleaned after using. Would of gave 5 stars for everything else.cleanedcabin. ##### April E.
