REMODELED Cottage on Lovejoy pond in Albion Maine

30 DAY MINIMUM. If you and your family enjoy relaxing by the fire next to the water watching the fish jumping, the eagles soaring and wonderful sunsets this is the place for you. You can enjoy fishing from the dock or one of the boats for some of the ponds many fish. Lovejoy pond is 379 acres and has 4.2 miles of shoreline for fishing and exploring.
We allow a maximum of two dogs with a fee of $10 per night per dog. If the pet fees are not paid up front we will charge $100 penalty on top of the Pet fee.
In 1987 my mother and father bought this property and started building the cottage with help from his brother. Over the years the cottage has not been used much until we finished the interior of the cottage in recent years. Now that the cottage is finished we really enjoy using it with family and friends but it still doesn't get used much so we will be renting it out so other families can enjoy it.
We have everything you and your family will need for a wonderful time inside and out.
The cottage sits 45 feet from the water and has 630 square feet of living space with a deck, picnic table, fire ring, dock and 2 kayaks. As the weather warms up the pond gets algae blooms and weeds start growing making swimming less desirable but we do have another cottage on a beautiful lake in Oakland which is East pond which is the start of the Belgrade lake chain the property ID number is 2147380.
The interior is set up with a table for 4, many different comfortable chairs, tv, dvd player, books and games, kitchen, bathroom with a shower, toilet and a sink. Two bed rooms are located upstairs. The waterfront side bedroom has a queen sized bed and the pass thru bedroom has a full/twin bunk bed.
Coastal Maine has many things to offer within a short distance from Albion Maine.

The perfect getaway!

The peacefulness and beauty of this location can't be overstated. Even though it was mostly too cold for us to go out on the dock, the view from inside was stunning! It had everything we needed for a comfortable looking weekend trip. I hope we get a chance to stay here again!

Enchanting ponds views, charming cottage!

My family and I came up for our sons 17th birthday. We have rented quite a few places up here for the last 6 years, this property is definitely one of our favorites. Having our own personal dock to take the kayaks out and lay down on at night to see the amazing sky ( breath taking) this is just what our family needed. We got to meet Jason as we were leaving and he was very personable. We will definitely be back for a longer stay again. I will highly recommend this property to anyone looking for pure relaxation and still close enough to some great areas to explore!

Fantastic cabin

Perfect little cabin for my family of four (plus dog) to get away for a week to bike, hike, and kayak around Maine. Close enough to Augusta to spend some time there, but relaxing on the shore or in a boat on Lovejoy Pond was the best part. Stairs up to the bedrooms was a little steep, but wasn't an issue for us.

Peace and serenity

This was just what we needed... Quiet, nature, clean air and a cottage with everything we could have needed. Owner was great to work with and we had the nicest visit with his Dad! The Eagle soaring and the fishing was icing on the cake.

This cabin is just the recipe for a nice relaxing stay away from everything while still being close enough to take in the sight and eats that Maine has to offer. Excellent host that communicates well and an amazing property that was just what we needed!

Just right for us

It is always nice when the description and photos match what you find when you get there. Details in the description were spot on, and this place was just perfect for us (dad+ 2 teens). I'd come back, and I'd recommend this place to friends and family.. One thing I can add is that the dock pictured is your own private dock. Also that we cooked our meals here with ease, and enjoyed both the kayaks/canoe, and the fire pit. I had fun restoring the vintage cast iron skillet from "good" to "favorite." Do not expect more than what is described. By chance I met Jason and felt good about renting from this dude and his family. Two thumbs up.

Lovejoy camp

Property is accurately advertised, very well stocked, and very clean! My family (3 adults) had a great, comfortable stay there. We didn’t get to go out into the water, unfortunately, due to lots of rain, but the camp was a good spot to hang out in the evenings, and a good base after exploring other towns in Maine.

We had a very relaxing stay at this location. It was very quiet and peaceful. House was nice and perfect for the week. We used the kayaks that were available a lot and were able to catch some decent size bass. Would definitely recommend this house and owner. Thanks!

Relaxing

Cons: Not much around, poor wi-fi. Pros: Not much around, poor wi-fi! This is a location to kick back and relax. Don't expect luxury. Wonderful location on water. Went kayaking in morning, afternoon, sunset and after sunset to see the stars. Played cards and games. Watched movies, read books. Had fires at night. Host communicated well, provided everything we needed. Loved it!

Four wonderful days on make Lovejoy!

This is a great cabin a few steps from the lake. It has all of the amenities and is very comfortable. We enjoyed watching the sunsets, cooking and playing games. Jason met us the first day and was accommoating and available for anything we needed. We truly enjoyed our time in Albion and hope to visit again and book this cabin!

Perfect cabin in peaceful location!

Had an absolutely wonderful time at this cabin in July! There were 4 adults and it was the perfect size. The cabin is clean, comfortable, and has everything you could possibly need. Every time we said “I wonder if they have a ( insert anything :)” they had it. We enjoyed the kayaks and the canoe provided! The pond is lovely and peaceful. Beautiful sunsets and moon glow on the pond! The owner is kind and helpful. The pictures are a true representation of the property. The cabin is off a road well maintained, with very little cars passing. Absolute quiet. Friendly neighbors occasionally boating by. We had an amazing time just enjoying the peaceful setting, sitting around the fire pit, bbq’ing, watching the loons and the eagle that comes to the tree on property! When you think of a cozy cabin in Maine, this is it. It really is the “way life should be”!

Great Stay

The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for a great stay. The kayaks were great for getting around the pond and the fishing was good! Unfortunately the pond is not for swimming but Lake St. George is a short drive away and we were able to bring our dog with us there. I would love to go back in the winter for some ice fishing as the cabin would be super cozy then too.
