Good experience. The guy at the front desk was nice. Gave me an extra hour to checkout. I forgot toothpaste and they gave me some from behind the desk. It’s in a good location. The City Line bar right next to it was good. Also, the Dunkin’ Donuts was only about 80 feet from it according to google maps.

Needs renovation

Posted 30-Apr-2018
Pros: Location. Staff was friendly.
Cons: Update and renovate
Location: Across the street from SUNY.
We booked this because of the location and price and the 3.5 guest rating, but the hotel is desperately in need of a renovation. Everything looked old and worn--saggy bed, old bedspread and curtains, broken ice maker, electric plugs that didn't work.

Small, Run down and Not very clean.

Posted 21-Apr-2018
Pros: Staff was courteous
Cons: Please see the above narrative
Location: Excellent location in proximity to the University of Albany athletic facilities, area is safe and in an area with access to many amenities.
Aside from the fact that this MOTEL was located directly across the street from the baseball facility on the University of Albany campus, I would not have chosen to stay there. This Days Inn establishment is dirty, run down and I was legitimately concerned about sleeping on the bed or showering ( the bathroom had a sour smell that was present the entire weekend even though housekeeping tried to rectify the problem). This was my first time traveling to the Albany, NY. area and the facility looked decent when I did my research online and through reviews, photos and attempting to see the location through Google Earth. Next year I will stay at the new multi-story HOTEL being built next to this establishment or the Hampton Inn ( ? I think ) down the street approx. 400 yards from the Days Inn. I travel quite a bit throughout the year and this was a rare bad choice on my part for a place to stay.

Nice hotel closed to University Albany

I stayed in this hotel for a week. the room is clean and staffs are kind. Only concern was that there was no wafer in the vending machine. Whenever I go to get the water, it is sold out...

free breakfast, friendly staff, can't beat the price either Our room thermostat was set to 90 degrees for some reason though. We had to crack open a window because setting it down didn't change anything for hours.

Good for the money

No extras, but the bed is comfortable and pillows were good. Just make sure the outside window actually is locked if on the ground floor. Had to go outside and push it to be able to lock it because it was impossible to lock from the inside.

Adequate accommodations at reasonable price

Nothing to report about our experience -- which is to say the motel was everything we had hoped for -- clean, fuss-free, no interaction required. It is not at all remote, but beware of GPS directions that route you through two Northway toll gates to reach other parts of town.
