Pros: I loved the nostalgia of the building and room. Food in the dining room was wonderful.
Cons: when booking my stay, concierge quoted a price, over $200, and i questioned 'a night', ans ahe said no. I was staying 2 nights. When i checked out and asked for a peinted receipt to turn in for stay, I was charged over 200 dollars a night for a double bed room, tucked in a far corner on the 3rd floor. I can't turn in this receipt for reimbursement, it wouldn't be approved so I have to absorb that cost myself.
Secondly, the entrance is stairs, no other option. Hard to manage with heavy luggage in tow. Directions to this room was hard to follow....many turns, through an enclosed sitting room, up more stair to a landing, then down stairs and turn another corner hunting the room...all while you are tugging your luggage and bags.
Not easy for anyone with medical problems or some elderly patrons.
Take away,
I did love the use of an historical building and the food. If I booked again, i would definitely double check my pricing and request a room more friendly for handicap needs.
