Located on the long soft sand beach of Aventuras Akumal, Salvaje is the place for sunbathing and sculpting monumental sand art and castles. The sandy bottom bay offers a pristine environment for snorkeling and swimming. Depending on the time of year, you may also be favored to experience nesting sea turtles and the emergence of turtle hatchlings from the white sands. Remember, what happens at Salvaje, stays at Salvaje. The Exterior: Casa Salvaje is an inviting two story beachfront villa plus a garden guest house that offers enough room for up to 18 guests, making Salvaje an ideal choice for family celebrations and large group reunions. A blue tiled sparkling swimming pool with a generous patio and deck area is located on the beautiful ocean side of the property. Shade palapas, beach lounge chairs, sea kayaks, and a gas grill are just a few of the patio furnishings provided to enhance your time in the Mayan sand and sun. A large terrace facing the ocean on the Villa's second level is perfect for looking out over the bay or a hammock siesta! The Caribbean is your backdrop as you hang by the pool and enjoy lazy afternoons with Margaritas in hand. Villa Layout: The main level includes a full modern kitchen with breakfast bar, dining area with seating for 12 and an adjacent entertainment area that is comfortably furnished and equipped with a Smart + Satellite television. From the main level a gorgeous view of the beach is courtesy of sliding glass doors that grants access to the swimming pool, sundeck, and beach. The Villa's second level primary bedrooms are air conditioned and enjoy private ensuite bathroom/shower. The spacious beach facing suite is furnished with a King bed and endless ocean views and an open air terrace. The Villa's other large split-level primary suite has lush garden views and is furnished with a King bed plus a Queen bed that are separated by a low partition wall. The Villa's two main level bedrooms are air conditioned and have unrestricted access to the swimming pool, deck, and beach through sliding glass doors. One bedroom is furnished with a King bed and private ensuite bathroom/shower while the second bedroom is furnished with a Queen bed and access to a bathroom/shower. Garden Guest House Layout: The garden Guest House offers three welcoming air conditioned rooms with private ensuite bathroom/shower, all enjoying views of the lush garden. The lower level offers a spacious room furnished with two Queen beds. The two upper level rooms have access to an open air terrace and are each furnished with a King bed. Less people? No problem! Something for all of us. Plenty of room for the eleven of us aged 3yrs to 74 yrs. The swimming pool was a big hit, as was the private entry to the gorgeous beach and snorkeling (rays,squid,turtles,fish). The well stocked kitchen with two refrigerators made for easy breakfast/coffee. The daily housekeeping and groundskeeper kept the house immaculate. Plenty of baths, outdoor shower, safe parking, cozy family spot for games,puzzles,dining. We were able to pull up NFL games. We were amazed at how quiet and secluded the beach area felt. Our group went to local cenotes,took the Playa ferry to Cozumel , drove to Coba. Able to experience some of the quieter activities we remember from 50 years ago.Short drive to Akumal for restaurants.In a pinch, walk to bikini bar for drinks and snacks. ##### Karen G. I can’t give this property enough praise. My family and I rented the entire home June 22- June29,2024\. The house is beautiful. The beach is all sand and beautiful as well. There was 14 in our party. We had plenty of room. Daily housekeeper and groundskeeper were provided. Please tip them well because they do a great job. I highly recommend this home if you are looking to relax and enjoy the beach. A cool beach bar is just down from the house. We snorkeled right off of our beach. Just a reminder there is only AC in the bedrooms. Our family of 11 enjoyed the Christmas week at this Akumal beach house. Initially it was a little hard to find, as we arrived after dark. Then we drove down a quarter mile rutted dirt road that led towards the beach and to the house. But the remote location gave us quiet and solitude. We had the beach to ourselves, except for occasional beach walkers passing by, and snorkelers swimming in the water. The location was fantastic. The house had four bedrooms, two down and two up, each with their own bathrooms, and three of them with views of the pool and beach. The rest of our family stayed in the three bedrooms of the casita, each with Its own bathroom. We were quite comfortable. The living room, dining room, and kitchen were ample and comfortable for our family, and having Bette arrive each day to housekeep for us was wonderful. There were plenty of beach chairs by the pool and on the beach. The only thing lacking was a table outside large enough for all of us to dine, but as it was December and dark early, we did not miss it. It was turtle nesting season and we saw many turtles nesting as well as babies being released, very exciting. The beach is right there, the sand leading right up to the steps to the house. The maid and the grounds man were very efficient and unintrusive and quite helpful with helping to figure out transportation as well as local places to visit. We had absolutely the best time staying at this property. It was perfect for a larger group- we ended up using the main house and three rooms in the guest house (very close). Everything was exactly as pictured and maintained so well by the groundskeeper as well as the housekeeper- both were incredibly kind and even helped us when we wanted to arrange a chef to come to the house. The kitchen wasn't the biggest but it was made better by having two refrigerators. It was amazing to have a house right on the beach with a pool; we spent so much time lounging on the beach and walked to the local beach bar many times. It literally was a private beach! We felt safe and secure. We also really appreciated the guidebook with local recommendations and tips. It was a very quick drive to the local town but a bit farther to a supermarket. Overall, an amazing property. Being able to walk right to the ocean was amazing. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was easy to cook in. All of the staff there were so kind.
