Overall the resort and resort staff were excellent and we had a very positive experience. The seaweed was much more than we anticipated, but the hotel staff made a very impressive effort trying to clear it each day.

This is one of the best resorts in the world. The service is impeccable and not forced, the staff is genuinely the most friendly helpful people you will meet. The rooms are almost all identical and all have ocean views. The beach is peaceful and amazing, with turtles swimming in it nearby. I can't say enough great things about this resort. That's why I guess there is a cult following with people coming back year after year, and me being one of them!!

Really appreciated Juan's guidance and suggestions on excursions. And Vivian who is part of the activities personnel did a great job with her talk on turtles. However, i do think some other staff need improved training on protecting the turtles from guests who should not be using flashlights at night looking for turtles. I reported another guest for doing this and nothing was done about it.

We stayed here for our anniversary and the staff was wonderful in helping setting up a special dinner at the Grill. The manager: Araceli was amazing, Hostess: Fabiola, Waiters: Ricardo Geraro, Joel, Isreal and the Chef: Eduardo. We had some amazing bar tenders. The place is always being cleaned, I can't say enough about the amazing staff all around. The grounds were beautiful and we were able to see sea turtles that hatched overnight. I would highly recommend this place to stay. The rooms were amazing and beautiful views.

We had our first family holiday here and got engaged. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond for us and made the engagement so special. The quality of the food in the restaurants is truely exceptional and we were blown away by the kindness of all of the staff. Truely not one complaint. We went to a 5* hotel in playacar for the last 5 nights just for a change of scenery and wish we had just stayed here as the service did not compare!

Great property. Enough beach and pool chairs. Room was well thought out, great view of ocean. Steamer in room instead of iron was a nice touch. Alcohol was too shelf and drinks were amazing. We are at all the restaurants for dinner. No problem if you tried to eat before 7. Loved no reservations. Great stay, would go back in a heartbeat.

VERY quiet property. If you’re looking for fun in the sun this is not it! This beautiful but tiny resort is for those seeking quiet relaxation period. No swim up bar, no music, no volleyball or other group sports. There is water aerobics which was great! No air conditioning in most areas including eating in heat. First three days the buffet was 1/3 full and food was scarce within the buffet offerings. Miraculously on our fourth day the buffet was filled with more options. If you’re vegetarian this is NOT the place for you. Vegetables are scarce- no salad bar or fresh veggies even upon request. Took 35 minutes to receive a cut up cucumber. Don’t ask for avocado - scarce as well in a country known for them. Most restaurants were closed during our stay. Disappointing again. We were upset and underwhelmed overall but management tried to help with massages (amazing) and gifts. The place has such tremendous potential but be aware it’s low key which is great if that’s what you’re looking for…we were not. We wanted fun, good food and entertainment. It was a quiet vacation with young parents, couples and a toddler. Not what we expected.

The resort stretches along the coast so there are plenty of seaview rooms. We stayed in building 4 which was great if you prefer quiet and don't mind a little more walking for restaurants. Buildings 1 and 2 are closer to the restaurants and swimming beach. We tried all the food venues except sushi and all of them were really good whether you are in the mood for a relaxed sit down dinner or prefer the speed and variety of a buffet you have good choices. We enjoyed snorkeling in front of the resort and appreciated the great yoga classes. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The fridge was resupplied daily but with all the food and drink options we did not need much in the room.
