I enjoyed the cafe/bistro downstairs and the breakfast buffet. I liked the size of my room and how helpful the front desk were with getting an adapter so I could charge my electronic devices. It would have been better if the heat worked in the room which they tried to fix several times and if the wifi was better.

The hotel room was clean and comfortable the bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was close to the Old City which we were able to walk to everyday.

The staff went above and beyond when our family members suitcase broke and they took it upon themselves to fix it without hesitation!!! And by fix it I mean they added a metal plate, screws and bolding agent. Thank you so much to the exceptional front desk staff as well

Fantastic property, beautiful pool, great location and amazing service. From the moment we arrived the service was spectacular with all 3 rooms upgraded. The day before checkout they came and found me by the pool and asked if they could book me a taxi- really personable service. Will definitely stay again

Samaria is a real jewel on very affordable price ! It’s location makes it absolutely in the center of everything- 15 min walk to Nea Chora beach and 7 min walk to the her our and all happenings ! The hotel, staff, food, pool and all amenities are absolutely top standard and highly recommendable to experience in Chania !

The room we chose was a little small but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious and offered many options. It was a five minute walk from Chania Town and next to the bus station. I would definitely stay there again if in Crete. The staff was very nice and always present.

Beautiful hotel with easy access to old town. Staff were professional and extremely kind and courteous. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Best buffet breakfast we had compared to other hotels we stayed at in Greece.

The Samaria Hotel was located at the perfect spot to access the main shopping and port area! The hotel itself was big and spacious and the staff was extremely friendly!

Best hotel near old town
Samaria Hotel was spectacular. The location was perfect, but most of all the service and staff were impeccable. They gave us the best suggestions to do for our 4 day stay in Chania, excellent restaurant recommendations and the perfect beach to watch the sunset. There was a minor error on their part for not reserving us a car but they fixed it and it all worked out. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Chania. A truly 4 star place

Everything from check-in onwards was excellent. All the staff were friendly, welcoming, cheerful and helpful. The buffet breakfast included in the price was tremendous, with a wide range of hot and cold options, and something different every day of our six night stay. The room was very comfortable with a nice bed, well-equipped bathroom, small fridge and coffee machine (but no kettle for tea), a balcony from which you could see the Old Town and the sea, and most importantly, adjustable air-conditioning. We spent a fair bit of time by and in the lovely swimming pool. Towels were provided for the pool and on request, for the beach. The location of the hotel was very convenient - just a 10 minute walk from the old harbour and Chania Old Town, and 15 mins from Neo Chora beach. Good value for money and highly recommended.

We had a GREAT stay at the Samaria! The staff was super friendly, helpful AND knowledgeable- we were going to Heraklion to take a ferry to santorini and the staff knew the best way to get there and helped us with the bus schedule. The common areas and the room were super clean. It’s a very close walk to everything but enough out of the way that it’s peaceful. The pool was a wonderful touch after walking around in the heat all day.

Great base for exploring Chania and the region. It was very easy to drive to the hotel, which was amazing given that it's just at the edge of the old town. The staff are extremely friendly, the breakfast was great! Loved it!

A top hotel, unbeatable location, close to main attraction but not in the middle of the crowd. Staff can not be more friendly from front desk to restaurant. The stay was simple perfect. Only a recommendation is that toiletries could be improved according with the level of the hotel

We really enjoyed our stay here at Samaria Hotel. The staff were welcoming and friendly always ready to help. The facilities were great, the pool was small but there was plenty of space to swim and enjoy a dip! Breakfast was always well stocked with a great range of options everyday that also changed a little bit so you weren’t always having the same thing every day! The location is perfect 5 minutes walk to the Old Town and harbour with a supermarket nearby and tons of food options so you’re never limited in that area. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable the view wasnt the best but it’s okay there was a decent sized balcony to enjoy too! The shower and bathroom was also nice and big to enjoy too! Overall we really enjoyed our stay here :) Thank you

We loved our stay. We had a large, comfortable room that housekeeping kept clean and tidy. Chania has good places to eat out but we found the menu and service at the hotel to be really good and the team recommended some excellent local wines for us to try. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We had a very relaxing time.
