![We stumbled upon this 700 year old gem hidden in the Frankisher Schweitz not far From Pottenstein, home of Rabenstein Family Barons of Waischenfeld, sacked in Margrave and 30 year wars and rebuilt twice in the 15th and 16th centuries. « Un hôtel très vieillot, tout le confort sur le palier (salle de bain commune avec toilettes dedans, la baignoire mettant 30 mn à se vider !). La literie est déplorable, les verres à dents (qui sont juste des verres) pas nettoyés. la chambre est à peine refaite pour le lendemain. On entend tout d'une chambre à l'autre... »

"Chbre réservée depuis 1 mois, arrivés l'apres-midi pour 3 nuits : eu chambre attribuée au 7eme sous toits très pentus, réduisant l'espace, et bien sombre car éclairée juste par petites fenêtres : notre demande de changer contre une des chambres à l'étage (plus spacieuses et plus claires car avec baies) a été refusée car "hôtel complet" > pourtant vu des arrivées plus tardives.. et de nombreux départs le lendemain matin.. Autre pt - : salle de bain vétuste, avec baignoire et manque d'étagères et porte-serviettes > les serviettes pendent au-dessus de la cuvette wc !! Bien dommage car sinon le reste est parfait : emplacement proche de l'agréable grande zone piétonne du Bayreuth historique, petits-déj. à volonté typiques allemands et fournis, bouilloire et sachets café-thé ainsi que bouteilles d'eau dans la chambre, propreté (ménage par de sympathiques étudiants Ghanéens), parking souterrain payant mais pratique... - pt: Booked 3 nights. were assigned a room on 7th floor under very steep eaves, reducing the space, and very dark as lighted by 2 little windows. Our request to move to another one was refused ="hotel is full." > ?! much later arrivals and the day after departures... Another - pt: bathroom dated, bathtub and lack of shelves, the bath towels hang over the toilet bowl !! + pt: close to pleasant large pedestrian zone of historic Bayreuth, typical breakfast, cleanlines by nice Ghanaian stdts, teapot coffee + bottle water, paid but practical underground pkg"
