You'll find the main roads connecting to other towns, as well as a selection of local eateries and markets, often centred near the village's principal church or community centre. For travellers interested in hiking and exploring the natural beauty of the region, staying close to the mountain's base is ideal. It allows for early starts on treks up Mount Agou and easy access to local guides who can lead you through the surrounding forests and villages.Couples seeking a peaceful retreat will appreciate the tranquil setting of these villages.

The best time to visit Agou is during the dry season, which runs from November to March.During these months, you'll experience pleasant weather with less humidity and minimal rainfall, making it ideal for exploring the region's natural beauty, particularly if you plan to hike Mount Agou, Togo's highest peak. You can enjoy outdoor activities without the interruption of heavy downpours, making day trips to nearby villages or coffee plantations more enjoyable.
