MOUNTAIN MAMA - The home for gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountain views : ) Situated on a graceful 25 acres minutes off Rt. 151, our mountainside home is nestled within the beautiful Rockfish Valley and offers incredible views from every window in a truly unique and newly renovated home. Enjoy the sunsets falling over 3600’ Humpback Mountain due west and sunrises lighting up the valley ridges. If you need to be inspired by nature’s beauty, this is the place for you! Book your stay with us today! Our home sits on a spacious 25 acres with one of the most spectacular views in all of Nelson County! KITCHEN/LIVING SPACE: The kitchen features all new appliances, baking dishes, new pots and pans, dishes, utensils, and knife set. We also have a coffee station with Keurig stocked with k-cups. Open to the kitchen is the TV and couch area. Off the TV room is a relaxing room with couch, reclining swivel chairs and a desk with chair. The ground level also features its own kitchenette along with a couch and TV. BEDROOMS: The home has four bedrooms, each with one bed. Our second floor master suite features a king-size bed, chaise lounge, chair and bench, walk-in tile shower, tub and private balcony. Two additional guest bedrooms are also located upstairs, one with a king-size bed and another with a queen-size bed with memory foam mattresses. Main bath upstairs also features a double vanity. Ground level features a queen-size bed with bathroom. OUTDOOR SPACE: The main level deck wraps around the back of house where you can grill with a view. Screen porch is located between kitchen and deck area, with ample seating. The ground floor deck features a hot tub with seating for 6, with an array of lighting options, a waterfall feature and 45 therapy jets. We have a campfire area stocked with wood located down from the house with chairs and a picnic table, which offers a great spot for sunset and stargazing views. GREAT LOCATION: Enjoy the many local vineyards and breweries located nearby and minutes away off Rt. 151. 2 miles to Cardinal Point Winery, 5 miles to Veritas Vineyard and Blue Mountain Brewery, and 10 to Bold Rock and Devil's Backbone breweries. 30 minutes to UVA and Wintergreen You'll be able to use the entire home, including use of our washer and dryer in main floor bathroom if needed. You will not have access to an owner's closet or two locked basement closets. Here your neighbors are the deer, squirrels, and turkeys (if you're lucky to see them :). No other homes nearby in sight. However, please be mindful of quiet hours after 10pm, and of walkers as you make your way on our winding mountain road. We designed our home for no more than eight guests. There are many other places in the area that can accommodate more than eight guests, but unfortunately our home is not one of them. \*Please no smoking of any kind in the house\* In winter months we strongly encourage guests to have 4WD/AWD. Our gravel driveway is about 300 yards long and steep in a couple spots which may be challenging to navigate in times of inclement winter weather. We do not have satellite or cable TV. Our two TV's are 'Smart' and you can stream through various platforms, but we do not have cable service. There are no TV's located in bedrooms. A crib is set up in an upstairs bedroom (the one with a queen bed) if traveling with an infant or toddler. Finally, be aware that our home is in the mountains, and you may encounter lady bugs and stink bugs throughout your stay (our home sometimes seems to be a beacon for them :( We do our best to keep them away, but they can be common in the fall/overwintering seasons. We also do our best to keep mice away, but bugs, bees, and little creatures all merrily live on our mountain too. We traveled here recently for our son's wedding in Crozet and this home was perfect for several family members. Each room was clean and well appointed. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. And there was plenty of space to hang out. Views from each room were outstanding. And, the four year old nephew travelling with us absolutely LOVED all the wild life he saw from the balcony. Deer were bountiful but kept their distance and the Marmot was a fun surprise. Our only thing to keep in mind is the steep driveway approach to the home. The 2-wheel drive SUVs managed but my AWD was a plus. The location of the home offers privacy and is just a few short miles from some of the best wineries, breweries, and restaurants in the area. The best part of this house has to be the jaw dropping views of the mountains that can be seen from almost every room in the house. The house is beautifully decorated and makes you feel right at home. My wife and I kept taking pictures of all the decorations because we wanted our house to look just like it haha. The whole house was immaculate; including the humongous hot tub! The owners were very responsive and incredibly nice. I could go on and on about this place. My wife and I are definitely coming back and can’t recommend this beautiful dream home enough. ##### Christian M. The views are more stunning than pictures can capture and the setup of the house is perfect! We loved early mornings on the deck and late evenings too watching the sunsets! The kitchen was fabulous for our family of 6 to cook and be together ! The crib was a gift with our tiny grandson . We loved our time and daily getaways ! The hosts were fabulous and very responsive . We would definitely stay again ! ##### English H. Perfect location if you want to have privacy and still be close to some of the best wineries in the area. Kristina was always quick to respond and very helpful.
