My friend missed the parking entrance because the building didn't look like a hotel. After we went to dinner, the hotel sign wasn't lit up. The place is starting to show its age. The corner of the front desk had business cards for call girls :-( The towels were big and fluffy.

It's a strange place: It's a large facility, with the rooms looking out on a central enclosed atrium. There don't seem to be many guests. The lobby and the large enclosed atrium areas are pretty much empty, devoid of furniture. Even the Rodeway sign out front seems temporary, a fabric sign over whatever the hotel name had been previously. There was a guy disassembling his motorcycle right in front of the main entrance, making it look rather unattractive to me. The young man at the desk was helpful and courteous, but he had some trouble getting me checked in (some issue between Expedia and the Rodeway's system prevented him from being able to see my reservation). He had to call for help. The first room they assigned looked fine but smelled bad - I don't know if someone had smoked in there or if it was some sort of disinfection. I went back and asked for a different room. The second one indeed was much better and smells "normal." Both rooms appeared to be clean and well-maintained. We'll see in the morning how the included breakfast is.

Good: The beds were comfy and the shower had good water pressure and the hot water stayed hot. Great: The staff was friendly and helpful. Bad: Had to move rooms 3 times, first room the dead bolt did not lock and missing curtains (101), the second one had missing curtains (214), the third one was good until a pen rolled under the bed to reveal a lot of trash under the bed and when I went to shower there was hair on the walls from last guest as well as a lot of dirt and grim in the tub itself (213).

This place is an absolute nightmare! There were 3 events going on in Abilene, causing hotels to be booked up. I booked this one & regretted it as soon as I got there!! Dirty, no air, lock didn’t work, no windows, scary. As a female traveling alone, I absolutely could not stay there! It was awful and I do not know how they are even in business!

Everything about this place was sketchy, staff nowhere to be found and unhelpful. It was just awful all around and I wonder how they are still open.

The female staff member was very kind and easy on the eyes. They advertise no pets…not true. Had to move rooms three times for various reasons. Pot smoking in parking lot with garbage everywhere. Breakfast consists of toast and two types of cereal.

Our 1st room the curtain didn’t close. Staff was eager to help gave us a second room clerk with me to check it out. 2nd room and a horrible cigarette smell. So he gave as a 3rd room. Clerk didn’t go and check it out we just changed room had my 2 grandchildren with me they are 4 and it was getting late for them. Curtains closed. Got pjs on and went to watch tv. It didn’t work. Cable wasn’t set up in that room. SMH. I was done we went to bed. The room was good clean. Would of been nicer if had better pillows and more of them. They at least had a small breakfast not just coffee as Econo Lodge only offers coffee. Had to ask front desk for danishes would not have even known if another guest didn’t tell me. Yes I would stay there again. I will bring my own pillows and if grandkids are with extra toys for them just in case tv isn’t working. No ice either. Staff member told me that they have several rooms 12 I think that have hot tubs in them however they don’t rent them out and over half the building is used for storage rooms that were conference rooms are now storage. With no individual outside doors or windows wonder if that would be a fire hazard.

The room wasn't really ready for someone to stay in it. The room seem incomplete, door jams not finished, bathroom door wouldn't even close. The room didn't have a refrigerator as listed we had to ask for one, the coffee maker was missing too, I had brought my own coffee maker. The Breakfast bar was a total joke, Bread for toast and some cereal. The over all experience was uncomfortable. The Price was cheap for a Saturday stay. If it was just me it wouldn't of mattered as much, My wife was with me so it mattered. I took pic's

Very good property. Excellent furniture, better maintained than most. Breakfast is kind of thin though. Be prepared to get down the street to Denny's or somewhere else for that

Nice quiet property. Reasonable rates. The owner was friendly and helpful plus you could tell the rooms were renovated recently. The beds weren't the most comfortable but i like mine soft. There was enough room for me to do yoga and the water pressure and temperature was agreeable. All in all i will be going back if in the area again

Kind of a strange place. The Indian or Pakistani, or whatever dude check me in was good. Not great, really didn't say much, not friendly, but not angry. Nobody I would hire for my company. And then there is a more full-size girl there later, on who is friendly enough,yet a little different also. . I don't know this area so maybe that's how people are again, not good not bad. For the price it was fine.

Dirty room, anemic breakfast, friendly staff tho!
Door to my assigned room was ajar and had not been touched since last guest left! Poor front desk lady was aghast and apologized profusely. Next room had no comforter, no soap, ONE bath towel and there was long hairs on the floor. Shower curtain was way too long so it "mopped" the bottom of the tub. Room smelled musty. Next morning the heater didn't work! Front desk offered to move me to another room upon my return for the second night of my stay. To their credit, the rest of the facility was very clean and bright (lobby). Didn't look like breakfast was going to amount to much so I went elsewhere.

I think this place has the potential to be a really nice motel, but at the moment it has issues. Staff was friendly, but check in was slow and I has requested a ground floor due to health issues. I was informed that I couldn't have a ground floor cause the room hadn't been cleaned. I made this reservation a month in advance. The room isn't CLEAN! She did give me a room next to the elevator which worked for us. There were 2 bath towels for 2 people for 2 days, NO washcloths. I don't know why they thought that was enough. I use 1 for my hair, and 1 for my body. I think most women do. So that leaves none for the 2nd person, and you have to reuse those to shower everyday. Only operational doors were the ones in the main lobby. All of the other exit doors were marked DO NOT USE. They could be used if it was an emergency. They had no ice or vending machines of any kind. We came out of our room at one point and there were piles of sheets littering the floor all over atrium area. Trash bags had been pulled out of the cans and left to set on the floor next to the cans. The atrium was had very little furniture or decor. It looked like a prison cell block like you see in the movies. It has potential. But they're not there yet.
