FINISHED! We have lovingly renovated the house and we look forward to our guests! :-) Our house is located in the quiet town of Abertamy, Douha 202, 362 35, only 27 km from Karlovy Vary. Abertamy is ideal for winter and summer vacation. There are several ski areas nearby - Plešivec (Plessberg), Boží Dar (God's Gift), Klínovec (Keilberg), Oberwiesenthal, Pernink and others. Some ski areas offer children's ski school, children's ski lifts and "magic carpets". In the village of Abertamy you are right near the cross-country ski run "Skimagistrale Erzgebirge". Summer is fantastic for hiking and cycling, there are hundreds of forest trails and quiet village streets, and of course, wherever there are cross-country trails in winter, you cycle from spring to late autumn. My favorite season for cycling and hiking is August to October, the air smells of "Indian Summer", blueberries are everywhere and if you take a paper bag with you you can collect mushrooms and then prepare something good in our kitchen. Collecting mushrooms is a must in the Czech Republic :-) At the end of 2017 we completely renovated our house, it is new and modern. The house is very bright and offers a breathtaking view over meadows and forests near Abertamy. The house can accommodate 2-12 people in 3 bedrooms with a total of 10 beds and 2 extra beds with new high quality mattresses and damask bedding. I can prepare a baby bed with a blanket, pillow and bed linen for you - all in white cotton. In our house there are two toilets and a bathroom with a shower. The new towels and bath towels made of thick white cotton will be there for you. We have a well functioning, ecological and quiet heating - thermal pump and a fireplace. A large basket of wood is prepared for the guests next to the fireplace. Two cars can park right by our house and there are also parking spaces on the street. If there is too much snow in the streets in winter, park in the central, well-lit parking lot in the middle of the city. The house has a large garden with trees, terrace with garden furniture and grill and sandpit. For the summer we will build a garden shed for the children. The range of sporting and cultural activities is really inexhaustible - skiing, cross-country skiing, snow kite, snow tubing, in summer then cycling, hiking, climbing on the rocks. You can take the historic train in Oberwiesenthal or visit the many lookout towers in the Ore Mountains. The golf courses in the area of Karlovy Vary can be reached in max. 30 minutes. I recommend visiting Karlovy Vary (20 minutes away), Františkovy Lázně, Marienbad, and the historic towns of Loket and Becov. The charming small town of Horní Blatná (Platten) is only a few kilometers away. My favorite restaurant, Faustuv Dvur, is located in Horni Blatna. In Jáchymov there is a small and pleasant Agricola water park. I also recommend the restaurant and butcher shop in Abertamy, where you can have fresh, good and very cheap lunch - the beef and lamb comes from the local farm, as well as the milk and other products. If you order the food to take away, you hardly need to cook. But if you would like to prepare the dishes yourself, our kitchen offers everything you could need - for example for B. a cake :-) With us you will find peace and will relax perfectly. You will feel good with us and you can contact me at any time. And I'll bake a good cake for you as a greeting. We werden ontvangen met heerlijke zelfgemaakte cake en wijn. Vanwege het matige weer hebben we helaas weinig gebruik kunnen maken van de tuin, maar we hebben wel heerlijke kersen kunnen plukken. Het Ertsgebergte is een mooie omgeving waar veel gedaan kan worden: wandelen, plaatsen (o.a. Karlsbad) en kastelen bezoeken en rondleidingen in mijnen. Wij raden Sofia House zeker aan. ##### Erik O. Unsere Kinder haben den Garten mit Spielhaus und Sandkiste geliebt. Und direkt neben dem Ort war ein Skigebiet, indem der Zauberteppich- Bereich sogar beschneit wurde (anders als in Oberwiesenthal). Sowohl im Wohnzimmer als auch in der Küche gibt es ein Sofa, sodass für acht Reisende ausreichend Platz zum Lesen, Stricken und Ausruhen war. Die Ausstattung in der Küche ist ausreichend. Wir haben im Haus alles gefunden, was wir für einen angenehmen Urlaub brauchten. Der Garten ist gigantisch. Spielhäuschen, Klettergerüst, Grill- und Sitzecke, sowie reichlich Platz zum Toben und Sporteln. Die Natur in der Umgebung ist wunderschön und es gibt viele schöne (Wander-)Wege direkt vom Haus aus oder mit kurzer Autofahrt. Leider haben wir im Ort keinen Bäcker gefunden, jedoch zwei kleine Läden, in denen es alles gibt - auch Brötchen. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Auf Fragen reagiert sie zuverlässig und zeitnah - sowohl vor dem Urlaub als auch währenddessen. Zur Anreise wurden wir mit einem leckeren Kuchen und einer Flasche Wein empfangen (stand in der Küche). Da war ein entspannter Urlaubsstart gesichert :-) Wir hatten einen wirklich schönen Urlaub und können diese Unterkunft für größere Gruppen oder Familien nur empfehlen! Feb 11, 2018 #### überaus gemütliches Haus und sehr nette Vermieterin Nach Sanierung des Hauses durften wir mit acht Personen die ersten Gäste sein und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, bietet reichlich Platz (z. B. auch zum Unterstellen der Skisachen), eine günstige Aufteilung mit Wohnräumen unten, Schlafräumen oben. Die Ausstattung der Küche war sehr gut, die Betten waren warm und bequem. Das Haus war sehr gut geheizt. Begrüßt wurden wir von der äußerst freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Vermieterin (mit leckerem Kuchen). Vielen Dank! Gerne kommen wir wieder! ##### Katja E.
