As always the accommodation and food were first class and the staff friendly and welcoming. The menu has a good range of dishes,reasonably priced and there's a well stocked bar with a fairly extensive choice of malts. I was not asked to sign / register my arrival; how do they know who is in the hotel? Warm, welcoming, friendly atmosphere. The room was comfortable with everything that was needed. The bar was very cosy and welcoming and supported by a number of friendly locals. The food was heavenly with a varied menu, particularly for the time of year (November) and the staff could not have been pleasanter or more helpful. It was walking distance to the main street, about 20 minutes. Nothing special or flashy about the place, but it is comfortable. The water pump started acting up in the middle of the night. Room was fine and clean, but a little tired. Some people might like a net curtain in the bathroom as it over looks the car park (there is a blind). We did eat an evening meal and breakfast was tasty. My mattress sloped to an angel and I actually fell out of bed (I am 42 and have never done this). Då vi kom fram sent på kvällen möttes vi av trevlig hotellpersonal, som trots den sena tiden visade oss rummen personligen. Hela hotellet ger ett hjärtligt familjärt intryck och jag skulle definitivt bo där igen, om jag besöker Aberfeldy i framtiden. Det ryktas att hotellet har en väl uppskattad kött- och viltbuffé på söndagar, vilken verkade vara välkänt i den lilla staden. Borde kanske ha provats? The people in the Aberfeldy area were frieldly and welcoming. The room is in need of a little updating but we are not complaining, merely mentioning, and the bathroom needs a bit of net on the lower half (we had to keep the curtains closed as the window overlooks the car park). The evening meal was fantastic, each dish a work of art and so tasty that we both ate too much! The staff are fantastic, friendly and welcoming but also professional. The hotel is within walking distance of the village (about a mile). I am a vegetarian and though one option is on the menu per night they are more than willing to offer other choices if the one shown is not to you taste. The room had a beautiful view, plenty of room, and was warm! It's closeness to Glen Lyon and Dewar's Distillery we perfect for us. The food at the restaurant was an incredible taste of Scotland. The owners were very friendly and helpful (they supplied a Blackberry cord to recharge a phone).
