Banchory is lovely and has a few nice restaurant options nearby. This hotel has nice staff but needs some work. The bed clearly hadnt been changed, there was mould on the walls and there was no iron in the room deapiate asking for one. The shower was freezing cold for a solid 5 minutes as well.

The Burnett Arms Hotel is very friendly and our room had a new bathroom, very well equipped for older people with mobility problems. There is an extensive menu for snacks or dinner in the bar, a range of good whiskies and the breakfast was excellent. The only little snag was that the fishcake was cold... but the staff quickly put that right, with apologies.

Nice hotel but poor and expensive food
Nice room. Comfortable and clean. Good condition despite lingering smell of smoke everywhere from catering staff sitting outside in the car park smoking. Not a great (or hygienic) first impression. Do not recommend eating here.Disappointing and pricey. Had two bland and poorly presented meals. Dry overcooked scampi and chips presented alone on plate without peas - had to ask waiter for them as they were included (£14) and a steak pie which was really a plate of grey stew with lots of ( frozen? tinned?) carrots and a circle of pastry on top (£17) We enjoyed an overall pleasant stay in this nice inn, but in my opinion don’t bother with their food

Difficult to score as didn’t eat or drink anything in the hotel. Just left our bag and left as attended a wedding in the same town. Did however get checked in early so that was very helpful and staff were very pleasant

We were very disappointed to learn when we arrived at the hotel that they didn’t have our booking. I booked it through your site in January and I received two emails confirming our booking !!! We were there for a wedding and were very lucky to get another hotel at short notice but it was much more expensive so we weren’t too happy. Again we are very disappointed with your website and the handling of our booking 😢

Although we had checked in earlier we were unable to gain access to the hotel after returning from a wedding. Phoned emergency phone number on the front door but no reply. Slept in the car until early morning and safe to travel home.

Very clean, comfortable and warm. The staff were friendly and helpful. Due to covid they were thin on the ground (no receptionist but the bar staff doubled up) and no breakfast was available, but that didn't both us at all in this stay.

I enjoyed my stay at the Burnett Arms Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I ate dinner there twice and enjoyed my meals. Being in the heart of the High St it was simple to walk around the variety of local shops. The bus stop into Aberdeen is also very close by, so an enjoyable bus ride into the city to explore.
