Thank you Tim for returning to stay at The Craibstone Suites again. We’re pleased you found our staff responsive to your requests and enjoyed the complimentary upgrade to a larger suite. Maintenance attended and demonstrated the microwave was working. The grill function had developed a fault and we offered to take one from another room but you declined this offer. All seemed fine over the next few days until Housekeeping discovered several red wine stains on the light-coloured sofa and cushions, an important point you fail to mention! We advised an external cleaning contractor would be attending and when presented with a charge for same, you insisted the charge be cancelled and threatened a negative review if it was not! Although you have declined to identify yourself, it is clear to us that you are the guests who scurried out of the premises very early in the morning before staff arrived. This was presumably because you did not wish to be challenged over the absolutely disgusting mess you left behind, which included dirty nappies, rotting food waste (leaking from a bag onto carpet) and bright yellow food stains on bed linen, towels and carpets. Days later, we are still carrying out an extensive deep cleaning exercise and unsurprisingly, the bright yellow carpet stains are not removeable. We should have known when you arrived 5 minutes after you booked, (having been turned away from your original place of booking), that there were going to be issues, especially when we had to ask you several times to take charge of your small child who was climbing all over a glass table! Please note, we have reported the damage and your conduct to Expedia. The Craibstone Suites

I'm sorry to hear about a few minor issues during your stay and I can inform you these have since been addressed and rectified with our maintenance and housekeeping teams. We do require a £75 pre-authorisation to cover incidentals which is a standard procedure across a large quantity of hotels and unfortunately once this is released from our system, it then becomes your banking provider that makes these fund available again rather than the hotel itself. Good Afternoon, Thank you for your feedback. We put one towel on the bed and one in the top of the wardrobe as standard. Should this not have been the case, we do apologise. It is easily rectifiable by calling reception to provide extra.
