Outside, there is an enclosed landscaped garden with sea views, where guests can sit on the secluded patio and watch the sun set in the distance after a busy day’s exploration. Aberaeron, a popular tourist resort, offers an array of seafood restaurants, traditional Welsh pubs, boutique-style shops and art galleries. The nearby quirky towns of Newquay and Aberystwyth are well worth the visit, offering fantastic walks and breathtaking views along the dramatic coastline of Ceredigion, where bottlenose dolphins and porpoises are often seen on a clear day. It was good value for money. However, the property was tired and in need of a good spring clean and service, and a lack of attention to detail which would have made the experience perfect. The outdoor eating area in the garden was completely overgrown, with piles of leaves and leaking gutters. The taps in the bathrooms and kitchen all needed a service. There were cobwebs throughout. The kitchen equipment needed upgrading, to a full set of white crockery - very mismatched mugs, glasses and a drawer full of mismatched serving utensils, with no sharp knife.
