pros: best smiling staff. everybody's friendly and cordial. pool, sauna and gym are more than adequate. quite near to the downtown. breakfast and dinner options are just great. cons: bathroom floor was not clean. water was free for the first night only. Cmon guys it's only water. coffee machine was very limited with no cream or milk or decaf options. no microwave or fridge.

Love Parkhotel
Beautiful hotel in the heart of Aachen. Close to the old town. We were in town for a family wedding and the staff were so wonderful and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed for four nights. We were in Aachen to spend a couple of days at Carolus Thermen, which was a 15 minute walk across the park. In the other direction there were half a dozen good pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. All very convenient. The front desk and bar staff were all friendly. We found the bed to be a bit soft for our liking.

Good location. Great history of the town. Did several localhistory tours, all reasonably priced. Some nice cafes and shops. 10 minute walk to town centre. Hotel staff excellent and friendly. Room spacious but a little tired, namely curtains and bath panel. I would stay here again if i was in the area.

Great hotel which needs some renovation
Very beautiful hotel with excellent spa area and great hotel bar. Here and there it needs some renovation; my room was pretty small; however the bathroom is great

Needs refurbishment
Refurbishment is required, not the smart, high class hotel that we stayed at three years ago on our last visit to Aachen. We booked a superior king size room but were given a twin room, rather dowdy, stained carpet marked walls. Phoned reception said this is not the room we booked, we were advised reception will call us back, but did say the hotel was fully booked. We waited almost 30 mins, just sitting in the room, no call came. We went to reception, given a different room, queen bed, very small TV that slide out of a cupboard, not a great place if you want to watch TV in bed. Blind in bathroom wouldn’t go up. Breakfast was OK, but asked a staff member if they had a toaster, she said she didn’t know. Chef cooks your toast. Overall not value for the money we paid.

Good hotel especially for all quieter ones
The service is outstanding and the staff are helpful. The rooms are well cleaned and the housekeepers are responsible. The location is about ten minutes walk from city centre and suitable to those who prefer quieter environment. The only drawback is that it is a bit old, as seen on wallpaper or something like that; yet still very acceptable. Overall, an excellent hotel and I will recommend to my peers.

The hotel has great location and the spa is ok. However, the restaurant was not child friendly for dinner so we went out in stead. The service for breakfast was like a Ibis Hotel- the waiter wanted us to sit at two different tables. We insisted on sitting as a family at had to wait 15 minutes. The buffet was almost cleared out and not filled up quickly and we had to ask repeatedly for water, tea etc. The hotel is really too expensive to allow such bad service.

Lovely hotel in fantastic location
This hotel was great! The location was excellent for a 10 minute walk into the centre of Aachen. The hotel facilities were spot on, the room was comfortable and the pool area was very relaxing. We didn't use the bar area as we chose to go into the town instead bir the lounge area looked large amd comfortable. We had breakfast and the choice was extensive, would definitely stay here again and would recommend.

bathroom was dirty, the toilet had a few stains in the bowl and the toilet brush was still in the bowl, some urine stains on the floor too..due to checking in late in the evening housekeeping was not available. The receptionist tried to remedy the situation but without cleaning equipment was unable to. The room was decent , spacious but the bathroom was dated. Generally speaking staff really did try their best. Bottom line very nice property, dated interiors , well priced, eager service but clearly understaffed

Small things stopped me from giving a really good review: - the breakfast buffet regularly ran out of items/was not replenished very quickly - no one was available to help with luggage when we arrived - the curtains in the room were ripped - in room toiletries and coffee were not replenished consistently Very nice atmosphere, nice sized room, comfortable furnishings, friendly helpful staff

Comfortable old-style hotel with excellent spa and fitness facilities, good breakfast and attentive service. It would not suffer to get a make-over for rooms and corridor carpets, but all in all, a very good experience.

what a bad hotel, the room was big but empty! we had room number 404 under the roof.... there was only a bed, som chairs, a view thing on furniture. only the quality of the bed was oke. not enough for a 5 star hotel ! not al all.... the carpet was dirty. The breakfast was not great. we will never come back. The hotel is over the hill, needs very much an upgrade

Amazing food
Beautiful huge hotel in Aachen. The room was a little bare but probably because it was huge. The bathroom was lovely. Ate at the restaurant which was beautiful and very good value for money. Our 4 year old was catered for as well by a very attentive waitress. Great stay to finish off our trip around Germany and Belgium.

The hotel itself is quite nice, but the rooms are worn and old. You can see that in its time, it was true luxury. The years however have left their mark on the rooms. Worn wallpaper, worn and stained carpets detract from what could be a 5 star property. It's a 4 star at best. One small pet peeve, how do you get a 5 star rating with no coffeemaker in the room? That's a basic amenity these days and our room was without one.

Gorgeous hotel with GREAT Breakfast Buffet
Very nice hotel. Breakfast buffet was one of the best, really great. A good 15 min walk to the Cathedral, Treasury & Kings Hall (all very much worth a visit). LOTS of shopping & restaurants in the same area. Our room was very nice with LOTS of room & storage. Even the bathtub / shower were heated (I love Germany!). Aachen still has a few towers from its walled city days that are great to tour. Can't wait to return in Spring or Summer. The Concierge had great stories of famous people who had stayed there: Monet, Churchill, Clinton, Dylan.

Woke up early. The spa/pool much nicer than carolus spa. Had the place to myself. Great. Also great breakfast.
