"Great experience. Clean room. Helpful, warm staff!"
Check-in was swiftly assisted with and early check-in was initiated for us even tho we didn't pre-request it. (We reached at around 8-9am and thought we were only due for check-in at noon-ish.) Was pleasantly surprised when our unruly charging cables were neatly tied up w a Cordis Velcro cable tie on 2 separate days. Nespresso machine was a tad bit dirty though, had to boil water twice through to clear out the coffee residue from past uses. Room was comfortable, clean and view was good (L31). The choker of the bathtub was a little rusty but otherwise the bathroom was super clean and the toiletries provided were really good (and promptly replenished day on day). HDMI cable was promptly delivered straight to the room when requested at the counter downstairs. Might not be impt to some ppl, but the bedroom slippers are really comfy to walk around room in.

"Luxury in convenient location"
Extremely easy to get to from the airport via MTR express - right in the Chinese part of Hong Kong where the hustle and bustle is with a fab view of Hong Kong Island. The pool is magnificent day and night.

"Excellent hotel with even better staff, but..."
The hotel is excellent with even better staff. The hotel restaurants are overpriced for what you get. The food is above average, but not spectacular. Again, the staff are all excellent. I would try other hotels in HK...there are many excellent choices.

69 Mody Road Tsimshatsui East, Kowloon - Map
"Over rated hotel by U.S. Standards"
This hotel is currently a 5 stars rated hotel. However, by U.S. standards, this hotel should be around a 3.5 stars at best. There are many shops and restaurants within the hotel but they are upscale shops and upscale restaurants who catered only to the nouveau riche class. The price for the hotel reflects a 3.5 stars scale in the U.S. while the prices in the shops and in the restaurants require one with bank accounts with 7 digits savings that are running out of time to spend. The hotel room is very small. The bathroom lacks the necessary ventilation thus carries a stale smell odor similar to a closet full of old working socks or a high school gym in Tiaguana. Yes, let's talk about the view. The hotel is near the harbor but the only side with a view to the harbor is being blocked by two hotels in front of it. Looking through the gap, you can see to the Hong Kong side of the harbor but the windows of the hotel have not been cleaned in years. Not much of a view through the dirty windows. The cleaning staffs do not speak English. That's fine, but they get frustrated easily when you do not want them to fix your bed daily. They need to check the stock of the minibar each day (I guessed). They do not hesitate to express their frustration toward hotel guests. This is probably due to a cultural thing. The hotel is difficult to find since the main entrance is actually located on Mody Court instead of Mody Road.

"Good central location! "
Well positioned for most stuff around Kowloon. Plenty of shops, malls, restaurants etc all around it. Only negative was that our room had been recently smoked in so it stunk on our arrival. And the shower needs a proper clean including corners and behind door. But would happily stay again as is comfortable and in a great place.

"Great service and location"
After a small snafu locating the lobby (it's on the ground level next to the road not up any stairs/escalators). They do have one small spot for taxis to stop (we were told at another hotel that they couldn't stop at that hotel at all). Check in was a smooth process, and we were taken to our room. The hotel is located almost directly across the street from the ferry to Hong Kong Island. The room was large and spacious, we had our daughter with us and even though we had a crib in the room still had plenty of space for all our belongings. Service was amazing, we were dropped off at a nearby hotel as we were told Hullett House didn't have a spot for a taxi (which they do). They brought over our luggage from the other hotel and helped my husband find a nearby Starbuck's by personally escorting him over there. They have a Handy Phone in the room that you can take with you sight seeing that allows you to make international calls and will be a wifi hotspot for your personal use. If we ever visit Hong Kong again we will stay here again.
