"The food here was phenomenal. We kept seeing that people were saying the food was hit or miss. The breakfast buffet, and every single restaurant was phenomenal! Drinks are good, not watered down, and plenty of variety. The room could have been cooler, but overall it was clean and welcoming. Housekeeping did break my hair straightener without an apology or even acknowledgment. Don't try to upgrade your room when you get there, it is 3x more expensive than it would have been if we booked...

"Overall an excellent hotel especially considering what passes for 4 and 5 stars these days. The rooms are very comfy and the showers are absolutely amazing! Only a few complaints: 1. Check your itemized bill carefully. There were three unauthorized charges for items in the mini fridge which I did not use at all. Still waiting on hotel to issue credit. 2. Confirm late checkout time!!! I was told it was 5:00 pm and paid extra. Only to find out on the day of leaving they moved it to 3:00...

"We had a great time. Loved the food, our room, the staff, our view. The only thing is that first floor had no air conditioning it was pretty warm in there. That’s where they have a few of the restaurants & gift shop. There’s also a bad odor in the same space. Smelled like they mopped with dirty mop. Someone said it was sewage. The beach had lots of seaweed which made water look dirty. (Beyond your control) Also would have loved more shops. Not a deal breaker. "

"I must say my stay at the Paradisus playa de Carmen was very pleasant. Our concierge Jorge went up above and beyond. He surprised my kids in two occasions with toys and a cake and decorations for my son birthday.Also, I am never truly impressed with food in resort but the food was really good. Noas which is the buffet never disappointed. Overall, if you are trying to have a nice family vacation I highly recommend."
