"Nice Family Hotel, But not a 4* "
Nice hotel in a great location, the rooms very clean and modern and lots of facilities on site. Good food selection for breakfast and dinner. However on arrival at the hotel we were faced with a 40 people deep queue at check in. After an hour of waiting patiently to check in we were then told our room was not ready despite it being past the 1400 check in time (not a great start for a 4* hotel) It seemed there was not enough staff at the hotel to deal with the number of guests. The room was lovely with partial sea views, it was cleaned daily by the maids and had everything we needed including a small fridge. The only negative thing i will say about the room is we backed onto a very noisy air vent from the kitchen area which ran all day and night and even with the balcony doors closed we could hear it which wasn't ideal for when we wanted to sleep. Breakfast and dinner was of a good standard, lots of choice. The dining room was always busy and could be quite rowdy at times so don't expect a romantic meal. Also waiting staff were rude and as people left their tables they prepared them with no cutlery for the next guests. Both breakfast and dinner i found dirty plates and cutlery that were supposed to be cleaned, every breakfast I had to literally hunt through the clean glass pile to find a clean glass for my Orange juice (not 4* treatment) and if you want to sit by the pool in the day, don't bother as all the beds are taken up, we found the beach was much more pleasant.

"Very good location in the centre of town"
Easy to get to being close to the railway station and central bus station. The centre "square" has many good bars and restaurants at reasonable prices. Pint of San Miguel Euro 2.50. Restaurants Euro 20 per head including bottle of wine. Virtually everyone speaks English and most signs, menus and written material is also shown in English as well as Spanish.

"Return to Resort 10 Years Later "
I hadn't visited the Torremolinos/Benalmadena area in 10 years, yet was pleasantly surprised when I returned. I have stayed at Melia hotels before, and although this one was not 5 star, it was very modern and had a great location just a stone's throw away from the marina. We only opted for bed and breakfast, but there was a great buffet choice to choose from every morning. And we never struggled to find a sun lounger by the pool. Our tips for future visitors: 1) Meals and drinks in the marina can be a little pricey - for 2 main evening meals, a beer and a coke expect to pay around £35. 2) I wouldn't bother going to Bioparc. It's really small (we walked around it in an hour) and the animals just hide in the shade because it is so hot.

"Standard hotel for standard stay. "
Staff were nice. Rooms were ok size but beds were not good enough. Sofa bed was the worst. Pool had tiles coming off, lights hanging out. Breakfast and Dinners were fine. Clean overall but I expected better standards from a 4 star hotel.

"Long Weekend Aug 2016"
The only thing I can fault with this hotel is the WiFi. low speed best I saw was 54meg and 2 bars. very intermittent, dropped out regularly. Would this stop me from coming back here. absolutely not, excellent location, Staff, Facilities. On 2nd day we had our grandaughter stay over so Mum and Dad could celebrate their wedding anniversary. Bed all made up with her own towel, soap, shower gel etc on the day ready for her stay. all removed the following day when we were at the pool.. Hotel own space on beach with sunbeds, but we stayed around the pool.

"Clean hotel, close to beach and shops."
Hotel was clean and close to all amenities which was just as well as the hotel had no entertainment or no sunbeds around pool area. Pool area was shaded all day and got no sunshine, hotel bar very expensive, 3 euros for bottle of water (go to supermarket 25 cents), breakfast was same every morning didn't cater too well for the English, reception staff very helpful. As a base I would recommend hotel as the location was ideal.

Very good hotel but evening food menu and quality need to improve. Prices at pool bar a little bit too expensive.

Pocket Guide: Malaga Torremolinos 4 stars Hotels

There is more than meets the stereotype to this Anglo-centric seaside resort. While most of Torremolinos is a brash high-rise heaven for fun-loving Brits, the low-rise western part is patronised by the Spanish and has a very different character. Soft golden sands stretch either side of town and there is a huge choice of entertainments by day and night. Aquapark is a white-knuckle water world; Tivoli World is the region’s major theme park.
