"Nice hotel across the street from train station "
The bed and pillows were too firm for our liking. Maid service was great and speedy. Very convenient to be located so close to train station

"Convenient location and reasonable price"
Pros Clean Right across from train station Bus line #2 only takes 15-20 mins to get to Piazzala Roma/Ferrovia (catch water buses there) ATVO stop is a few hundred meters from the hotel, where you can catch a bus to take you to the airport Can leave luggage at the hotel for a few hours after you checkout There is a supermarket nearby Cons Area is a bit run down, would recommend having dinner in Venice before heading back to hotel Had shrimp pizza at Bar Enjoy restaurant which is near the hotel and it was good. You can also purchase ACTV passes from there (for the water buses).

Great hotel Can't really fault it cheap shuttle into Venice friendly staff great food. The restaurant had cost efficient options for dinner too. They provided us with adaptors for our plug sockets too. Even the minibar wasn't expensive!

"Pleasant Place to Stay"
Our family is just back from staying at this hotel. The breakfast is great and the restaurant staff is very friendly and attentive. The front desk staff is good with the exception of Elisa who is awesome! She went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out. The only minus is learning how to use the public transportation if your there without a car. Overall though, a good place to stay.

The staff was super nice, the breakfast was great, the rooms are very comfortable (except the pillows - too hard & flat) The location is good, close to bus stop to get you to Venice. The street is a little noisy, but the hotel sits back a bit so its not too bad.

"Great location, Close to sushi / asian restaurants"
Stayed here for 3 nights. I was pleasantly surprised because it was actually convenient to get to Venice from here. The bus stop going to Venice was a 2-3 minute walk, and the buses were quite frequent (Note: you have to buy the bus ticket first, they don't accept payments on the bus, they sell them at the reception desk), and you'll be in Piazzale Roma in Venice in 15 minutes. And going back was just as easy. The hotel is also close to the main plaza of Mestre, where they have a lot of shops and restaurants, they even had an ice skating rink when I was there. There was a Japanese all-you-can-eat within the square (which I had dinner at and it was packed and it was a good option just to eat something other than Italian) and the hotel is actually next to a Chinese restaurant. The breakfast had a lot of selection, and they had donuts! other hotels, at least the ones I've stayed at, didn't offer The thing that just bothered me were: 1. I could hear the laughters in the hallway. I also heard the people talking next door. The walls seem to be just too thin. 2. They have a towel in the bidet. If it's been cleaned well, great, but I don't know that (although the room looked clean), and so I'd prefer if the towels were elsewhere. Also the sink area didn't have enough space for a traveler's own toiletries. 3. I asked for a taxi and I don't know if it was a miscommunication, but I got a fancy service which probably cost me an extra 15euros.

Pocket Guide: Venice Mestre 4 stars Hotels

Northwest of Venice on the mainland, Mestre is often used by travelers as a base for exploring Venice and the Veneto. Piazza Ferretto, Mestre's pedestrian-friendly main square, includes cafes, shops, and the town's 12th-century watchtower. The Brenta Canal, famous for its elegant Palladian villas, empties into the lagoon next to Mestre and stretches to the historic university city of Padua.
