"Excellent friendly family holiday "
Everyone can nitpick but in reality the warmth , friendliness , and assistance offered by the predominantly Fijian staff overrode any little issues we may have encountered.

"Beautiful location friendly staff... but only 3*"
I have just returned from 5 days at BLR with my two teenage sons. We had expected a 4*+ experience based on the photo gallery on the BLR website, and also on the many very positive reviews on Trip Advisor. Overall we had a fabulous relaxing tropical holiday, once we adjusted our expectations. The Resort is in a poor state of repair. We were initially put in a 2 bedroom bure which was so poor that I asked to be moved. After two requests we were moved to a single room bure that was in much better condition. However even that had problems - the bathroom tap bare trickled, and the plug could not be closed. There were no power points in the bathroom so drying hair or using a shaver had to be done without a mirror. The one towel rail, installed during our stay, was so small that it could barely cope with one towel. But the beds were large and very comfortable, and the room felt spacious and clean and welcoming. The plunge pool had paint peeling off the bottom and was too cold to use. The garden area in front of the bure was lovely, if a little untended. The thatched style roofs that appear in the website photos have all disappeared. I can only guess that they blew away in the cyclone in February, leaving bare roofing iron. Understandable, but surprising that no effort has been made to replace them by July. The swmming pool is pristine, and very inviting, if a little cold at the time of the year. The restaurant/communal space at the front of the resort was in good condition. I

"Like a Postcard"
Great experience, exceeded expectations. Everywhere you turn on this island, the view is just like a postcard. The photos on the website don't do it justice. Hotel staff were fantastic. Very warm & friendly. Our accommodation, Lagoon Bure, was clean & spacious. The food and atmosphere at Dick's Place was also first class. Loved the experience and will definitely be back.

"Lovely resort with beautiful views was wonderful"
Went for a family wedding and the whole experience was just amazing. The staff at the resort are so friendly, nothing was too much trouble, they made sure we were happy with everything. Getting around on the golf carts made life so much easier. Lovely pools and dining facilities, beautiful grounds, the chapel was gorgeous and had amazing views and the flowers inside the chapel were stunning. Well kept grounds. Nice small shopping facilities with enough choice. Loved the local ladies selling their handicrafts, they were genuinely so nice and happy and friendly. All the staff and people there made us feel comfortable and welcome. Loved the torches being lit at night and some small exposure to local life and local customs. Loved the fire walking ceremony.

"An OK hotel near to the airport"
Arrived in pouring rain but hotel staff insured we did not get wet We were given a disability access room with large shower alcove but the re plumbing after taking the bath out did not get the draining angles right as the water flooded all over the bathroom floor The shower curtain rails were installed too low for for a tall bloke like myself and I cut my head on it twice. The hotel staff were quite helpful but I did not need medical attention but the Manager contacted me personally which was appreciated The greatest assett Novotel have in Nadi are their staff. All levels of staff went out of their way to be helpful and cheerful all giving a warm "Bulla" when ever we met anywhere in the hotel We struck a couple of cockroaches as well as geckos in the room but this is "normal" for Fiji The hotel rooms are dated and in need refurbishment and we noticed that several rooms were in fact being renovated The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning worked too well with my wife having to ask for extra blankets as the A/c could not be turned off The breakfast buffet was basic but quite adequate and no one needed to go hungry. Eggs and omelets were cooked to order and the restaurant service very good. If eating on the terrace the birds were very quick to take food off your plates if left unattended on the table The gardens and grounds were kept immaculate by the staff and our room overlooked the golf course and the Sleeping Giant mountain in the distance

"Island getaway, with pool and cafeteria/restaurant"
Great place for an island retreat. The bungalows were really nice, some are away from everyone. The beach seemed very secluded at the far end, if you're looking for a private getaway. We likely the water sports activity center with diving, snorkeling, and sailing activities available. There is a fancy pool and nice restaurant. The water and the island were absolutely beautiful.
