"Comfortable and good value"
We needed a hotel for a night's stay over in Swindon and this fitted the bill nicely. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was convenient to eat in the bar, and then to watch Olympics on the room television. We had to leave early the next morning so didn't sample the breakfast.

Room - nothing like the advert photograph! eg. No throw on the bed. Valance ancient and dirty looking and creased. Bathroom very clean. Fine. The place is just tired but we were told it is being refurbished. The staff were 10/10 - exemplary. We would return for them and the pretty flower baskets!

"Lovely setting, very peaceful. Absolutely no noise"
We stayed here for 2 nights and must say that dinner both nights was of the highest standard and totally delicious. The room was tastefully furnished and decorated though I missed having a bedside table/chest on my side of the bed!! The bed was very comfortable and we both had two very good nights' sleep. The staff in the restaurant were particularly attentive especially Keith and Faye but all staff we came into contact with were very helpful and had a smile!

"Good hotel to base yourself."
This hotel is perfect to use as a base to visit the many ancient sites in the area. The staff were very polite and helpful. The room fronted onto the outside terrace that is open to the public which I felt a little uncomfortable with but this is merely a personal issue. The food was excellent in the restaurant. The only down side was the fact that our shower and bath needed attention.

"Really lovely place , Own front door !"
This was a fantastic room to stay in. Great place within the Sun Inn grounds but with own individual Access. The Sun Inn Manager was brilliant ! very welcoming and also making sure we were OK throughout our stay. For the price it was excellent value for money including breakfast as well. Very well placed, with access to the M$ only minutes away for travelling and getting about. The Inn also has a wonderful restaurant with an excellent menu and if you don't fancy dining in they will deliver food and drinks to your room.

"Excellent value for money"
Staff were very friendly. Our double room was clean, bigger than the average London studio flat, and with lovely views of the Garden and surrounding countryside. The shower pressure was OK but not a pleasure. The pub had two local ales. The food was quite good, gastro-pub style but with descent portions. There is a lovely, really lovely beer garden. The weather wasn’t great but we decided to have a beer outside anyway because the garden was really pleasant. Lydiard park is really close. We drove there but I guess you can make it by walking. I definitely recommend.
