« This lodge is so comfortable, clean and renovated. The owners have provided everything that other hotels do not such as wine glasses and corkscrew, full length mirror and magnified mirror, overhead shower that’s also a jet spray, small refrigerator, and access to kitchen with homemade cookies, tea, coffee and candy. The grounds are charming with lots of spices for just relaxing. Our bed was very comfortable and room renovated and very clean. »

« Great family trip! Riverside was a cute and comfortable little inn. The staff was great and we loved our room. We had a balcony which had a great view of the river. So peaceful. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants. I’m heartbroken for this community. So sad this little gem is gone. When they get up and running again we will definitely be back. One of my favorite towns in NC. »

« Very peaceful, relaxing, comfortable experience. The only suggestion I have is there to be handrails on steps leading to cabin entrance. Loved it. Hope to return soon! »

« What a great house at Rumbling Bald! The house is exactly as pictured, with attention to every detail. Although the lake has been dredged, we still had plenty to do and enjoyed every moment spent in the spacious house. Ian was always accommodating and immediately addressed a minor issue we had. Our family has spent a week at Rumbling Bald the past eight summers. It would be difficult to find a finer home at the resort. »

« Dirt road/drive. Not a lot of room for navigation, but enough room to move around. The house was quaint and perfect. Check in was an envelope left on a table. Perfect! Serves a purpose for a one night stay. No refrigerator and limited outlets. Would stay again! »

« One of the best places we’ve ever stayed. Nice view and outdoor space, very clean and spacious inside, and every amenity was taken care of - from coffee, to bed linens, to shampoo/conditioner, to beach towels, to laundry detergent, to pots and pans. We had a bit of an issue with an A/C malfunction but the owner was responsive and got it resolved. »

« This was such a nice house! My son, husband and I stayed here for 3 days. It was great! There were condiments and so much stuff for us to use, which was nice coming from out of state and not wanting to buy all the things that we would just use a little of. The place smelled so clean and fresh! They were great about communication every step of the booking and check in. We plan on coming back with my other family members next time. There was lots of extra room! »
