"Nice new hotel!"
We really enjoyed our stay! The lobby was really nice. The breakfast had a nice selection. The rooms were nice, very modern. The hotel must have shifted though because our bathroom door was very hard to open and close, and very loud. There was a lot of construction noise outside early am too, not really the hotel's fault, just a bi-product of being in a new area. The kids loved the pool and water slide, lots of fun! Overall we enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again!

"Great View!"
We had a corner room with a beautiful view of the river. The building itself is old but upgraded well. The room wasn't overly spacious but it was very well planned out. The room had lots of light due to the big windows. The set up of the bed was beautiful and the bed itself was very comfortable. The clock radio by the bed had an Ipod dock so I was able to listen to music and to charge my Ipod. The coffee bar was tucked neatly by the closet. The bathroom was a little bit small but was adequate for our needs. The lobby of the hotel was very modern and pleasant. The elevators are very fast and well upgraded. The bar, which was accessible from the lobby was very cozy. We were able to watch the football game from there. We didn't visit the restaurant but we had breakfast delivered to our room every morning and we highly recommend the food! The pool/fitness area is a little bit difficult to access (from the third floor, down a lengthy hallway and then back down another elevator) but we appreciated this as the area is very secure. The fitness room had everything we needed. We didn't have time to use the pool but it looked like the kids there were having fun on the waterslide and several people were enjoying the hot tub. The pool itself smelled like they used a lot of chlorine in the water and the air was extremely humid, however, this may have just been due to the weather being so humid outside. I wouldn't have been able to stay in the swimming area long due to the humidity.

One of the best places to visit is the Wanuskewin Heritage Park, where you can get a real sense of seven First Nation tribes who founded the town. The museum features art galleries and archaeological finds, which create a moving picture of the city in its infancy.
