The hotel is very well furnished and is in an excellent location close to Jonker street and other local attractions. The breakfast buffet was pretty good as well. I would stay here again.

Good and bad points. Starting with the negative points - the room did not get cleaned until around 4.30 and even 7.30 on one occasion. This was an inconvenience since we were returning and wanted to relax in the room. We were there for a week and on 2 of the days our room got cleaned during the time we were out. Although the booking was for one of the many windowless rooms, I personally found a week was too long without natural light. Also the previous guest's toenail clippings remained on the carpet for the time we were there, yuk! On a positive note the breakfast was good. There is a menu to choose from. Vegetarians can ask not to have the meat. There is fruit and toast which you help yourself to. The restaurant menu for lunch/dinner was not displayed so we didn't go there until our last night when it was raining. The veggie pizzas were outstanding. The staff are friendly and helpful. They booked bus tickets, arranged taxis and printed an e-ticket for us. The location is excellent. If you go left out the back to the 2nd bridge, you are at Jonker Street. The hotel is 15 minutes by taxi from Melaka Sentral bus station.

Bathroom was really big and there was two sinks. Room was cosy however the aircon was quite noisy and the blankets were not very clean. Limited tv channels but it did not bother me.

Hotel Da Som Inn

28 Jalan Tukang Emas, Malacca - Map
"Excellent service and friendly staff"
Excellent staff - extremely friendly and genuinely interested in their guests, very knowledgeable about local attractions & restaurants, will go over and beyond to be helpful. Very clean, comfortable air-conditioned room. Delicious varied breakfast. Only negative was that the place has fairly thin walls so prone to noise from street or discourteous neighbouring guests. Would benefit from more insulation/designated quiet times.
