"Perfect apartment hotel "
The location is very near by the Fremantle Station, Ferry terminal, and Market street. Hotel staffs are friendly and the room has stylish kitchen and furnitures, including the laundry machine in the bathroom. We could stay like own house. Everything is perfect!

"Excellent apartment/B&B - highly recommend!"
This is a beautiful apartment in a great location! We stayed here for a few days last week & thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were greeted by the owner/manager who is incredibly friendly & helpful. We were pleasantly surprised to find our room had been upgraded. We stayed in apartment #8 which was big, modern & beautiful. It had great features including tea/coffee facilities, free wifi, TV, walk in robe & even a TV in the bathroom so you could watch while in the bath. The bed was really comfortable. Each day we'd come back from a day out to 2 pieces of delicious banana cake which was a lovely gift. These apartments are in a great location, 5 mins walk from the Cappuccino strip & 5 mins the other way to south Fremantle cafes & shops. The swimming pool looked nice but too cold for us to enjoy. I highly recommend staying here. I think this accommodation is 4.5 stars, not 3.5 as rated here. The facilities are clean, modern & everything you need when away from home.

Fremantle Bed and Breakfast - Fremantle Hotels
Rating: 3.5 Stars

Fremantle Bed and Breakfast

5 Mouat Street, Fremantle - Map
"Convenient for town centre and harbour amenities"
The B&B has steep steps approaching the front door, which those of limited mobility would find difficult. The room was small, with no space to keep a suitcase open. We had to stand both of ours up at the end of the bed. It was next to one of 2 bathrooms serving 4 bedrooms. This bathroom toilet had a broken flush, operated via a rope which had to be stuffed back down into the cistern. (Management were aware of this fault as they had a permanent notice advising clients of the operating method). It did not always close the seal so, on several occasions during the night, we had to get up and do it ourselves if the previous occupant had failed to do so. Continental breakfast was fine, with plenty of variety and good quality ingredients. The location was ideal for visiting all of Fremantle's attractions. It was very close to the bus stop for both free buses that serviced the main beach and shopping centre. It was also close to the town centre and the harbour area, which had several restaurants and bars. And it was only 5 minutes walk from the railway and bus stations.

The self-checkin was super convenient, and the room was actually nicer than expected. Not very keen about the location (ie. the dodgier side of Freo), but it was good value for money.

Fremantle Prison YHA - Fremantle Hotels

Fremantle Prison YHA

"Prison Stay at Fremantle"
It was a truly prison stay in Fremantle. Fremantle Prison YHA has only commissioned on 2014, whereby it was a woman prison till 1990. One can understand more about the prison through the day and night tour at the prison (located beside the YHA stay). Note that the night tour is only available for Wednesday and Friday night and required booking (whereby I was not able to go). The whole prison feeling is there, but people were nice, and you are free to do your own cooking and roam around the area. Fremantle is a town filled with seafood, definitely want to try Cicerello or Kailis. Moroever, the cheap Tuesday deal for Rottnest Island sold out pretty fast, so get your booking through YHA early. It was a wonderful prison stay at YHA.

"Fremantle Prison"
This is a former guard/warden house. Not for everyone as can appear to be spooky to some -just next to Freemantel prison. Very near to Fremantle market and eateries. Private Carpark provided nearby during stay. Only 1 toilet can do cooking. Do your own cleaning as they will only clean after checkout ready for next guest

Pocket Guide: Perth Fremantle 3 stars Hotels

Located 15 km (9 miles) southwest of the city centre, Freo (as the locals refer to it) is one of Perth's top attractions. Wander through its impressively restored historic warehouses and prison dating from the convict era, as well as its Edwardian streets and shopping precinct. Good museums, street markets, bustling working docks, energetic nightlife and a great variety of restaurants are other attractions, while in summer the beaches benefit from the 'Fremantle Doctor', a pleasantly cooling breeze.
