"One Week's Stay"
Spent the last week here, and it was a great experience. Excellent sea view from our room. Staff were excellent: very friendly, helpful and professional. The buffet breakfasts were superb, with a lot to choose from. Overall, a really nice place to stay, and I would recommend it. The downside is that parking can be difficult, which is not helped by ignorant guests taking up more space than necessary. However, parking on the promenade in front of the hotel is not restricted. But it would be a good idea to have the parking bays repainted.

"A lovely friendly hotel "
Really enjoyed our stay, the staff were really friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome. A lovely comfy bed and the room even had a microwave and fridge! The breakfast was made to order, cooked really nicely and there was plenty available for every taste. Only downside were creaky windows that woke me a couple of times in the night but it was windy. Would definitely stay there again.

"Last minute booking, no problems"
Friendly staff, good breakfast. Limited choices for evening meals, but good sized portions. Wi-fi was a bit patchy, they admitted they were having problems with their router and mobile signal is nearly non-existent on EE - so a bit of an enforced digital de-tox (which was probably a good thing anyway!). Room was a good size with expected level of facilities. Overall a good experience

"Out of the way yet close enough"
A nice oldy worldly type hotel/castle. Decor is in with the theme of the castle, staff are friendly and the hotel dogs greet you too. Rooms are spacious and adequate for a weekend stay to visit Merlins Cave (it is just a cave!), the beach is small and good for a few hours to relax. The steps can be tricky for older legs. Room cleaning staff never made it to the room for some reason!?!? View from the room were amazing and breathtaking sunrises. Walls of the room weren't that thick surprisingly for a 'castle' as the snoring neighbour could be heard!!!! I'd recommend the hotel for a short stay but not more than a weekend to be honest. The hotel has a Russian touch to it with the staff and pictures that seems a bit disjointed for an 'English' castle!?!? Oh almost forgot, mind the revolving door and take small quick steps to get through, it's not very big!

"Nice Clifftop Hotel"
We stayed for two nights and enjoyed ourselves very much. The hotel enjoys a great position on the clifftop overlooking the ocean. The room itself was quite compact but the bathroom was large and the view was awesome. The food was excellent - I can recommend the black pudding and potatoe hash with poached eggs for breakfast.
