"Great stay"
Lovely quirky place to stay, old building with wonky floors and lots of character. Superb breakfast, huge choice of different foods. Staff were extremely impressive and professional, would definately stay again if I'm in reading. As it was in central reading, city centre was on the doorstep. Very very happy with my stay.

"Get what you pay for!"
Don't choose this hotel if you want a good nights sleep. Thin walls and poor sound insulation mean you can hear everything. Was constantly being woken up by people marching up and down the corridors. Ear plugs a must!

"So glad we stayed!"
This was a last minute booking because we were having a meal at the Milton Restaurant at the Cantley Hotel. We decided to book there as well and were thrilled with our stay. I wish we stayed there longer than the one night. The room was huge and very clean. The furniture was not new by any means but the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful. Our room was in the newer annex wing. The room had a door onto a back patio and garden area which was so peaceful and inviting. The restaurant meals were excellent also.

"Adequate at best."
Purely functional hotel with little charm. Entrance and dining room nicely decorated and modern. Check in and out was simple and easy. Room was large but disappointing with stained carpets and paint dropping off the ceiling. Breakfast was full english and was OK.

"Convenient location just outside of Reading centre"
Only stayed for a short visit but recommended if you need somewhere on the outskirts of Reading. The room was large, comfortable, clean with all the facilities you need. Bed seemed larger than a kingsize? Room was very clean. Decent fridge which makes a change and the shower was powerful too. Breakfast in the morning was surprisingly good too. A good choice, well cooked and nice toast too. We did't eat in the restaurant apart from breakfast as was very expensive and we weren't expecting it to to be particularly good, so we drove to local villages to eat dinner, etc.
