« This hotel was an awesome value. Low price but the whole place was nice. It was in a separated area, so not near rundown businesses or streets. No random suspicious buses or campers on the property. Entire place was clean. Nice lobby with historical displays. Elevator to 2nd floor. Convenient side doors and pet friendly! Beds were big and comfortable. Sink and toilet separate, which is nice. Clean tub/shower. Great hot breakfast. Has a great, clean pool and hot tub. Unfortunately, we were not...

« The hotel was clean and the people were friendly. It was great for a place. I just wanted to sleep. I forgot to bring my cable so I couldn’t connect to my devices and that was a little bit of a drawback, but I wasn’t there very much since I was visiting. Overall a great place to stay overnight. »

« We have stayed at this O'Connell's three times prior to this visit. We have loved it each time, however this time we were particularly impressed. They have made some improvements. It seemed to be in great condition with the same friendliness and family feel. »

« Room smell old smoke. No renovation done since the 50's. Everything is dark (floor, bedspread, furniture) and lighting is insufficient so we can't see anything is the room. Walls, bathroom, floor, sink counter, miror, etc, everything is dirty. And certainly not soundproof, I hardly slept because of the noise. And no hot water in the morning so no shower. Horrible experience. »

« We wanted to get away for a couple days to see fall colors and hike near Starved Rock. This little house in the small town of DePue IL perfectly met our expectations. We had a great time looking at all the interesting decorations. While in DePue be sure to get a pork tenderloin at Casford’s Crossing! »
