« It doesn't look like much from the outside but it's got it where it counts. The ribs were clean and well maintained as were the grounds outside. Beds and pillows were comfy. The place was quiet and felt safe. The management were friendly and cared about our comfort. The price was reasonable. It was much better than others in the area at this price point. Easy to find. Close to a few restaurants and stores. I would definitely return. »

« Me and my sport team of 28 people stayed here for a weekend and had no complaints. The service at the front desk (Sam) was more than accommodating. While the condition of the building may be a little run down, if you’re looking for an easy, simple nights rest and a shower this is the place to go. »

« We loved the overall experience and would definitely come again and recommend it to friends! There was a nice amount of space and it was very clean. We enjoyed fishing and the canoe. We would have liked to have 2 so we could go out in pairs. The lake is beautiful. The deer are fun to see. We loved it, thank you! »

« Lovely place to stay on a quiet cove on the Bernard's Landing property. The unit was just as described, and comfortably sized/equipped for up to 4 people. So nice to have one of the pools so close, and we appreciated having beach towels and pool floats available. We did go to the on-site restaurant one night (make a reservation!), and there are other restaurants and shops about 15 minutes away. We'd love to come back to this unit on a future getaway. »

« The view and accommodations were excellent. Unfortunately the HVAC went out the day we arrived and they promptly found someone on a Friday afternoon to come temporarily fix it. As we left Sunday the repairman returned to put in brand new inside and outside units. We had a hot arrival and departure but nothing of owners fault. The “in between” worked which was most important. Great place on Smith Mountain Lake! »

« The house is clean, exactly as described, and equipped with multiple amenities. Unlike a lot of places you can tell these hosts treat their guests the way they want to be treated. Everyone had a great time. Thank you so much for the hospitality. Let’s just say it’s so nice you stay looking for the chief steward and house chef. Loved this place. »

« My wife and I rented the house for a summer vacation with my kids and grandson. It was better than even imagined. We also rented a pontoon boat for two days. We spent the days swimming off the dock and cruising in the boat. At night we played ping-pong, cornhole, other games and sipped wonderful cocktails. Only comment is that if you sleep in the bedrooms under the kitchen you will hear footsteps from above in the morning - solved that problem with earplugs and slept nice and late everyday! »

« House in the woods near a cove on SML. Knotty pine paneling and cabin decor throughout. Good- Rooms, bathrooms and house in general was clean and bug free. Extremely quiet.Fun to see the deer in the morning. We were there on some very hot days and the AC kept up. Lots of games to play, mostly for people 10. House had a U shape drive way that would work for 1 vehicle pulling a boat/trailer. What could be better - kitchen equipment very outdated,. Had to call property management folks for a...
