« We loved our stay at Kehena house! We were greeted by Stephen when we arrived and given a quick tour. They were hosting a Pride potluck that day and he kindly invited us to come eat and join in as guests of the house. Everyone we met was friendly and we felt safe to be ourselves. « This property was great, the only thing that I would say was that the A/C wasn’t preforming the way is should have. Other than that everything else was just awesome, the place was very clean and the location was in a good spot. We are from Hawaii and we came back to visit our family. We would definitely recommend this property for anyone who is staying to visit family in the Puna area, or even just to explore the island. Thank you for a wonderful experience. »

« Our stay at the Fern Studio was excellent. The hosts, Elaine and Carter, were so incredibly kind and very communicative. Providing instructions early prior to our arrival and gave us lots of tips while we were there. Especially for the National Park next door. »

« Unexpectedly wonderful. Book so we could be close to Volcano park and it was such a great size comfortable home. Per usual for vrbo the kitchen utensils were lacking, but not enough that it took away from our family time. Being only 8 minutes from the park we were able to watch the webcams and head to the park for a show. Blessed to see the volcano in action. Thank you! »

« The Volcano Home has a rugged sense of utility in its architecture, without losing a hint of homeliness or convenience. The area itself is quite rural, with gravel road crisscrossing dense rainforest. The hosts stock the kitchen, bath, and rooms with plenty of conveniences that might have been forgotten. »

« Great location. We got there at dusk - tropical pathway lights didn't work - most were smashed. Hot tub was not "locked up" as supposed to be - and cloudy. Did not want to chance a UTI so - no tubbing which was the whole reason we picked this little gem. Sink clogged up, wallpaper paper falling off, possible black mold on skylight above bed. No batteries in remote. We left a day early. I hope they fix it up. »

« What a lovely and cozy home away from home. So much time was spent on the lanai because being surrounded by all the lush vegetation felt like you were in a secluded forest, complete with all the sights and sounds. This place was the highlight of our time in Volcano. All the decorations were tasteful and I appreciated all the books on Hawaii. Such a lovely place. I hope to come back soon! »
