![The Gibb River Road is an absolutely amazing experience. Its in my Top 5 List of Places to Visit in Australia and it is truly a special destination with postcard perfect waterholes, pounding waterfalls and spectacular sunsets over one of Australia's most picturesque ranges, the Cockburns! (not pronounced as dirty as its spelt, but rather as 'coburn'.) 

You can hire a 4WD from Broome or Kununurra or jump on a tour with one of the off-road tour buses.

"Yeah, the place was good. I found the room quite big and not too noisy. I stayed for 3 nights. Staff were friendly. No bad for the price. I stayed at the Cook point caravan park and ordered a queen room and they gave me a room with two single beds. I was very annoyed as I had travelled 17 hours from Perth to visit my partner. They couldn’t do anything about it so I went to Blackrock instead and didn’t have any issues. "

"Es wurde nicht klar definiert, dass man in einem Wohnwagen zwischen lauter männlichen Arbeitern und Truckern übernachtet. Ohne WLAN, Fernseher, Haarfön, kein Komfort. Zugeklebtes Fenster, also stockfinster. Echter Horror für weibliche Gäste. Nie wieder!"

"I knew what I was booking, just needed a bed for the night, as departing at 5:30 the following morning. The evening manager was lovely and advised on the possibility of it being quite noisy etc. As it happened it must have been a quiet night in Broome... or the backpackers were all exhausted from previous parties... and I slept soundly in the 10-bed shared accommodation. Definitely recommend!"

![Now Broome and the Kimberley is an amazing spot to do a road trip! I would recommend flying in from Perth, starting in Broome with a few days and then heading into the Kimberley. A must do in Broome is the cable beach sunset camel ride, there are two operators that do a very similar walk.
