"Awesome spot- walking distance to beach & casino"
Got there on a Thursday and left on a Sunday- each day was awesome! The staff went above and beyond. We especially loved being able to watch football in the beer garden. They had great food, beer on tap AND let us bring in outside food as well. We spent a lot of our time on the Basecamp grounds- we especially loved the fire pits and hot tub. Our bunk room was awesome. There were 4 of us, and it was great. Could have easily fit another 1-2 people. The room was clean and well decorated. The wifi also worked perfectly in our room, beer garden and lobby. A few us had to work remotely, and did it with ease. We will for sure be back. We love Basecamp!

"noisy, but good enough for the price "
clean. roomy. friendly. poor sound proof, and there are always neighbors making noise at 2am -- what are they doing? Overall, it is a solid deal. Without the noise, price should at least double. So it was a fair deal.

"Awesome! "
We checked in late because of getting lost and they upgraded ourbroom from premium to deluxe. The room was cute down to every detail. Their breakfast room was adorable, but the continental breakfast could have had more food. But overall, our stay was great!!! It was secluded, but also close to where you need to be at. We will definately be going back next year!

"Great Deal"
If you just need a place to sleep that is clean and has what you need this is an awesome place. I stayed here with my wife 3 kids (all under 3 years old). They provided a pack-and-play for free in the room. Everything was clean and in order. Every employee I interacted with was pleasant and helpful. It was a great experience for a great price.

"Right on it's own beach"
Check in was quick and efficient, female front desk clerk was very informative and friendly. Hotel is in bad need of refurbishing from wear and tear. It's very small and looks rather shabby from the outside. The rooms are adequate and quaintly decorated and heated with a gas stove. the bathrooms are quite small and the water pressure in the shower is weak. Our view was perfect and the balcony overlooked the lake. It was nice to have the fire pit outside at night for relaxing. Sadly our neighbors didn't practice good citizenship and sat on their patio and partied until early morning and as a result, we had to close our door as to shut out their noise. The walls are thin in the rooms and we were woken by some small children crying. There was a nice sitting room off of the lobby with coffee available all day long. When I inquired as to availability for the summer, the male clerk rather haughtily informed me they were booked a year in advance and there was not a chance I could reserve something for next year. I imagine it's because it has its own beach, was family friendly and comfortable. It's by no means a "resort" but it is a nice, adequate place on the beach.

"You get what you pay for"
It's an ok hotel. Location is the best thing about this place. It's only a 10 minute walk to anywhere- stateline, the beach, ihop. The Marriott it is not, adjust your expectations accordingly.
