![The famous pink lakes of Mexico, Rio Lagartos. A magical sight! Pink waters and blue sky, It was like sunset reversed; a feast for eyes! There are plenty of colorful salt lakes near Las Coloradas/Rio Lagartos in the Yucatan peninsula. It is just 2 hours drive away from Chichén Itzá and around 3 hours from Cancun. Public transport is scarce in this part of Mexico. 
We took a rental car and it was an easy and comfortable journey for us :) Once we reached Las Coloradas, we were welcomed by giant white salt mountains. After driving around the salt mountains for some time, we finally found someone local who took us to this beautiful private salt lake.

Lo que está super mal es que el agua de las regaderas cambia de temperatura sola, de frío helado a calor quemante TODO el tiempo, no se sitúa en donde la colocas. Muy incómodo. Por otro lado, la tele tiene pocos canales y pésimos!!!! y no se pueden poner tus plataformas . Staff super increíble y las instalaciones muy bien. Los ameniries (shampoo, bodywash y acondicionador) bastante malitos, lleva los tuyos »

« El hotel me aplicó un cargo extra al llegar por conversión a dlls, en 3 noches de hospedaje no hicieron aseo de la habitación ningún día, no dieron jabón en 3 días, hacen un show en el techo con demasiado escándalo hasta las 3 de la mañana donde entra gente q no es del hotel y eso da desconfianza.la alberca estaba muy sucia. »

« L’hôtel est très bien situé au cœur du centre historique de Merida. Le parking privé à deux endroits si le premier est plein est un gros plus. La piscine présente dans l’entrée est très propre et permet de se rafraîchir après une visite de la ville. La chambre est très propre aussi. Le point négatif de notre séjour est l’absence de fenêtre dans la chambre. »

« On ne nous a pas avisé avant la deuxième journée qu'il n avais pas d eau chaude, nous n'avons pas eu de la semaine obligé de prendre des douches froide, 3 jours à pas pouvoir dormir avant 2h pcque le monde dans l établissements fesait le party, j ai avisé et rien n'a été fait pour qu'ils arête. Et un employé au travail bureau avant aucun sourire aucune façon air bête... Je vais demander un dédommagement de pour les inconvénients vécu »

« The room was large and clean. The staff were there to answer our questions and were very friendly. The pool was refreshing. We enjoyed having a herbal tea in the lobby on our first evening. The only negative point is that the rooms on the street side are extremely noisy. There's a lot of traffic on the street below, and the windows don't provide sufficient sound insulation. We asked for a change of room and were offered a reasonable solution which unfortunately didn't suit our needs. »

![The famous pink lakes of Mexico, Rio Lagartos. A magical sight! Pink waters and blue sky, It was like sunset reversed; a feast for eyes! There are plenty of colorful salt lakes near Las Coloradas/Rio Lagartos in the Yucatan peninsula. It is just 2 hours drive away from Chichén Itzá and around 3 hours from Cancun. Public transport is scarce in this part of Mexico. 
We took a rental car and it was an easy and comfortable journey for us :) Once we reached Las Coloradas, we were welcomed by giant white salt mountains. After driving around the salt mountains for some time, we finally found someone local who took us to this beautiful private salt lake.
