"Quaint Vintage Hotel in a Great Location!"
We checked in on a Thursday and stayed Thursday, Friday and Saturday for around $475. Not bad for Seattle. And the LOCATION is amazing! Very close to the Space Needle and an easy 2 mile walk to Pike's place Market and the Aquarium. At check in they offered us parking in their lot (limited parking around 10 spaces) for an additional $20/ night. Stiff price compared to Boise,ID but not bad for Seattle so we agreed. We chose a third floor room, however there is not an elevator because it is a 1920s building. The stairs are few and a bit steep but it is an easy trek, even with luggage. The room had a kitchenette, complete with a stove, microwave, mini fridge, and dishware. The walk in closet was large! And the bathroom was small, but not cramped. Overall I really enjoyed my stay. They had coffee in the lobby which was nice. The price for the location is fair, and it was quaint, but perfect for us because I love Vintage/ antique places. Would recommend!

"no bells and whistles but clean"
good price, not a lot extra but free parking and the location make it a great base for downtown exploration. Beware the rooms are tiny and the walls a bit thin, but if your looking for an inexpensive perfectly located place with no frills, this is it.

"Great location"
This hotel is located in a great area close to Pike Place and the Convention Center. It is not the nicest hotel, but for the money (compared to other hotels in the area), you can't beat it. The staff is incredibly friendly!

"Fantastic location, great value for the price"
The Pensione is essentially in the public market and an easy walk to the Space Needle, public library, and convention center. I was expecting it to be pretty run down because the price was so reasonable, but I was pleasantly surprised. Breakfast was great, too--toast and a giant bowl of delicious fruit. Would definitely stay here again.

Pocket Guide: Seattle Downtown Seattle 2 stars Independent Hotels

Downtown Seattle stretches along Puget Sound from historic Pioneer Square in the south to trendy Belltown in the north. In between, office towers, shopping gallerias, and brick condos line the leafy avenues. The convention center is here, as is Pike Place Market, where salmon fly. Don't miss the futuristic main library. Seattle's twin stadiums and the International District lie south of downtown.
