"Great option and convenient amenities for families"
The apartment style suites were such a plus for our family. Spacious and clean and the addition of the kitchen meant we were able to cook dinner on-site rather than wander around in a snow storm. Two items to be aware of. 1 - we were on the 20th floor and the windows were the sliding type with a little latch. Extremely easy to open and no way to lock them. Very concerning for us (a parents worst nightmare) with an inquisitive 3-year old boy especially with one of the beds tucked up right against the window. If you have little ones talk to the hotel about this or bring a piece of wood to jam the window. 2 - don't do the breakfast buffet. Staff was awesome but the food was not worth $9.99/pp. Overall, in spite of these two issues, we were very happy with our stay.

"Very affordable hotel, close to downtown."
Hotel check in was quick and easy. Quick access by foot from the bus station at berri . The room was very comfortable and maid service efficient. I have stayed at 2 stars with much lesser facilities. Breakfast was most welcome although it was basic . Hotel is close to the downtown core and the room price was a bargain.

A small table and chairs in the kitchen would be a nice addition. Had to stand around to eat in the full sized kitchen or take food into the living room - not the best. Otherwise, a good experience.

"A nice hotel in the heart of Montreal."
We really enjoyed our stay here. This was a great little inn in the middle of Montreal, allowing us to easily access other parts of the downtown area. The staff was excellent and the room was well decorated. We really enjoyed relaxing in the beautifully-decorated lounge with glasses of wine (available by the glass from the wine-bar in the lounge) in front of the fireplace in the evening, and a delicious breakfast served with a personal touch in the morning.

"Great location for a not so expensive hotel! "
We loved our stay at Hotel Ambrose in Montreal. For touring the city, it was a great location with a very comfortable room. There were a number of fun restaurants within a short distance. Also, most of the downtown area is near this hotel. A taxi stand is right outside, and the subway is a short walk 5 min walk. The staff was very helpful in getting acquainted with the city. It is not a big hotel. The makeup is based off old apartments that were converted in to a hotel. There was no elevator, so be advised if you require that in your stay. The breakfast was ok, and there are coffee shops nearby if you want to forgo the hotel option. There is free wifi, but the bandwidth was marginal. That said, it was just right for us to enjoy Montreal over a long weekend.

"Terrible shower head but great location "
Terrible shower head, uncomfortable when I take a shower. Lol and you have to ask front desk for hair dryer. But great location just 2 minutes from the subway station.

"Excellent location"
The location was perfect... Close to Place des art for the ballet, to many restaurants, and lots of shopping. As for the hotel, the room was clean and the staff was great. The bed and pillows were a tad hard but we weren't really there for complete r&r.
