« Our tiny room for non smoker was smelling cigaret and i found a lighter in one of the two beds, made me wondering if the sheets have been changed. Coffee and juice were not made easily available in the last half hour of breakfast time. I would not return to this motel because of the bad smell inside. »

« Great place to stay gir our trip needs .location was convenient and offered plenty of parking .area was also near other local shops for anything you might need to shop for on the run . Room was large , ckean an quite .Everything worked well . Check in was polite an quick. « This was a weekend get away for me and my adult sons. I had spent a lot of time in WV (mostly caving) when I was in my 20's like them and love the area. We had a wonderful time and the Bear Valley Cabin was our home away from home. The house had everything we needed including a grill for our foil packs and steaks, a fire pit to sit around at night as well as the chairs with oil lamp to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds in the morning and evening. Terra Alta is also a wonderful little mountain town with great coffee and beer. May need to look into purchasing a home in Alpine Lake. »

« Hey, with five bedrooms and six people, this property was perfect for an active group of people that were coming and going at all times. Having laundry facilities made it easy to keep our clothes clean.After muddy hikes with all of the rain we encountered. Communicating for supplies or how to turn on heat and locate different items was quick and easy and successful.
