"Great Location"
Decent hotel since we didn't plan on staying in our room much. Definitely nothing fancy...or big. Great location though...close to a subway station and tons of great food within walking distance.

"Tiny space in heart of upper west side"
Very good price for a bed and shower in good, safe upper west side neighborhood on 87th between Broadway and Amsterdam. Convenient to subway, restaurants, shops, and Central Park. Room itself was tiny with tiny separate bathroom, but clean, quiet and comfortable for one traveler; two would be a squeeze. Fairly dark because single small window looked out on brick wall five feet away. No closet and only furniture was double bed with two small nightstands with small drawers. Only amenities were WiFi, TV, blowdryer, and phone. Two small drawers in bed frame and two coat hangers on hook sufficient for my week's worth of clothes. My carryon bag fit easily under bed. Small staffed lobby without amenities other than small couch. No noticeable cleaning solution odor as others previously reported. All-in-all, the room was perfect for my sightseeing needs since I did not travel to New York to hang out in the hotel, but would be cramped for two or for business traveler planning to work in room or lobby.

"Great location!"
A friend who grew up in the city recommended staying at the Milburn as he stays there every time he goes back. It is an older hotel and very quaint. Our room was comfortable and had a small kitchenette. Free wifi... We enjoyed being able to walk to so many neighborhood restaurants as well as Central Park. Close to many great museums too.

"My 10th trip"
After splurging on $$$ hotels my first 3 trips, down grading for the next 6 trips to just ok, I found this gem on Expedia. I just wanted a bed, a shower, and private bathroom the standard mini fridge and microwave were a bonus. My tiny 2 room suite was just perfect for me and 2 travel companions. I queen and 2 twins. Tiny little bathroom but each room had its own sink. The only amenity I missed was a coffee pot, but for how much I saved on this hotel I could have bought one and left it. What I absolutely loved about this place was it's per room pricing NOT per guest! With taxes and fees my tiny 2 room suite was $177 per night, $30 total for 3rd person. You can't beat that! Our bill for 3 nights totaled $560 we split it 3 ways of course and splurged on other things in the city. DID I MENTION THE VIEW??? corner rooms over looking Riverside Park, The Hudson River, and the beautiful skylines. Absolutely breath taking. Another bonus fast elevators. Not lightspeed, I mean no waiting it's a small hotel. The evening desk attended was sweet as can be and he was so helpful.

This is a quiet, friendly, pleasant place to stay, in a great neighborhood. We always felt that we were coming back 'home' when we returned from our exploration of the city. This is our new favorite place to stay in New York.
