"Front desk guys really helpfull- worth stay!!"
The hotel is veru clean and beds are confortable. We stayed in a bunk bed, really clean and nice. DO NOT expect much space in a room like this, so just use it to sleep and out!! Almost no space for the bags...forget shopping. However the helpfullnes of the gueys in the front desk, for shuttles, buying tickest, and recomending places, giving addreses, etc was really worth the entire hotel experience in the Belnord. Locatios is OK, upper west is not really near most landmarks, but there is a really close subway station.

"Good location for discovering Manhattan."
Had a lovely time here. The room was nice (7th floor, sleeping 4 at front of building), comfy beds, great housekeeping, good shower. The air-con was essential for our July visit. The free WiFi was very much appreciated and pretty good. We enjoyed the free iced-tea in the lobby when returning from a long day and the coffee bar in the morning was handy. The staff were helpful. It's placed well for a short morning or evening walk to either Central Park or the Hudson river. The nearby stores are very convenient for food and there's a handy microwave just off the lobby. The price is reasonable and just what you'd expect for a good Manhattan hotel.

"Nice hotel in a good location"
We got early to the hotel and luckily could have an early check in. Room was spacious enough, nice and clean bathroom. We liked the location. There was a supermarket next door, and a few restaurants in the neighbourhood . Hotel was about 20 minutes walk from Central Park and the Natural history Museum. Subway station was very close.

"We loved it"
The location was ideal, close to Tube, Bus, Central Park and The Hudson. Check in and out was seamless. Corner room with full kitchen was great. Suggest getting a floor other than 17 as the outlook uptown was over the building's extended roof which housed the telecoms and mobile phone towers, a wee bit tacky - we were offered a shift when one became free a few days after arrival but eventually decided the view could be tolerated, shift wasn't worthwhile. The staff were very helpful in that process, the concierge was full of knowledge. Across the road is a full sized supermarket which had lots of everything (do not bother with the cooked roast chicken - it was poor). Next to that is another smaller market which has fabulous prepared food to take away & warm in oven. Next door is a cafe and two doors down is a liquor shop, very handy. Of course the Beacon Theatre is alongside as is a bar which has a daily happy hour. Simply the best place to explore NY from. Highly recommended.

"Nice hotel in a great location. "
We had a very good time and the hotel was very comfortable. Our room had a sitting area and that was a plus! Right down the block from Central Park and across the street from The Natural History Museum.

"Not bad for a couple of nights."
Rooms were clean, mattress was old and worn out, made noise when you layed down on it but not uncomfortable for a couple of nights. Cold in the room. A steam heater in the room that was not very hot and not constant. It was good for my purpose but don't know if I would come back. I expected a little more for $116.95 a night.
