The room was spacious and beds very comfortable.Initial problems with the shower were sorted out rapidly. Attitudes of all the staff were exemplary. We were always greeted with a smile and a word from staff in every capacity. Everyone was keen to ensure we were happy and the general helpfulness was impressive.
Buffet breakfast content was most impressive ,our only criticism was the inevitable hubbub when a large number of guests were using the facility. An extra and faster toasting machine would have been useful!
All in all a pleasurable experience.

Studio apartment had all the equipment we needed and was very clean and tidy. We found the owner very helpful with advice, suggestions, information about the area, lifts and fantastic chocolate cake!. We visited Dubrovnik several times, using the water taxis and buses, and also Montenegro, which was within easy driving distance. Yet again information from the owner helped us to see much more than if we had been left to our own devices

Nina's apartment is terrific. It is a cozy little apartment with great view. Nina is also terrific. The apartment is located at the top of the hill which is just a 5 mins walk down to the center of Cavat. The hill is a bit steep but the view compensate for the Hill. I would certainly come back, the apartment is great and Cavat is amazing.
Beautiful apartment-fabulous views over the sea. The owners were really welcoming and have thought of everything. Probably not suitable for anyone with mobility problems due to the number of steps up to the apartment, but only takes 10-15 minutes to walk down to the sea and then catch the water taxi to Dubrovnik and other places. Walking further along takes you to the harbour at Cavtat it lovely-many great restaurants and a few shops. We will definitely return.
I arrived early and was made to feel more than welcome by Luka who looked after me while my room was prepared, keeping me watered well with the local Schnapps - gorgeous! I had a room on the top floor, one of the galleried apartments and it was just perfect. The apartments are finished to a very high standard and are clean, fresh and modern including a dishwasher, air con, and electroniic black-out blinds. You also have all the kitchen equipment you'll need if you want to self cater. Having only been open for 3 months they are obviously still very new looking. Sitting on the balcony admiring the view in the sunshine was my favourite part of the day. You are only a short 8-10 minute stroll from Cavtat harbour and it's a lovely walk into town. Yes it might be a bit of an uphill trek coming back but it's nothing too strenuous if you take your time, and what better excuse to stop and admire the views on the way. The pool and jacuzzi area is superb and even on a lovely sunny day there were always sunbeds available. The view is great! There is a gym and beautiful sauna area as well, neither of which I used but if I had more time I would have done. The communal kitchen is also a great idea and tea, coffee, ice, etc, is available at any time free of charge.
Antun Bacan is the proprietor and he is a genuinely nice man. His apartments do him credit; they are SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. The building is approximately 1km from the centre of Cavtat and on a hill but do not despair, dear reader. There is a short cut walk into town (as advised by Antun), avoiding buses and the like but if you have bad legs, as I do, all you have to do is wait outside the apartment for the number 10 bus! It only costs 10 Kuna, which is about £1.10 at the current rate of exchange. On the return trip, the bus station is at one end of the small harbour town of Cavtat and all you do is say 'hello, 1 person - 1 stop' and it's 10 Kuna again. Simples !
I went with my daughter and I wanted to show her there is more to life than Brits on the @&%$. Croatia is a gem; we ate superb food, enjoyed a super relaxed café culture environment and during the hours of daylight, experienced the Adriatic with Dubrovnik being the 'jewel in Croatia's crown'.
The staff is awesome. I cannot say enough about Anka, such a lovely, kind lady. She always greeted us with smiles and treats. The figs, tomatoes, zucchini were fresh and delicious. Stijepo is pleasant and gave us great tips - take the ferry to Dubrovnik instead of the bus. Enjoy the beach, take day trips to neighboring Montenegro, Medugorje etc.
The walk to the hotel is steep but if you are a healthy person, it could be part of your work out. We enjoyed our time and stay and Villa Anka.
