Hotel Le Squara

3 Rue Lepic, Paris - Map
"Great location"
Hotel Le Squara is centrally located in Montmarte, close to good restaurants, Monoprix, Starbucks and the Blance Metro station, which we used everyday. Pleasantly surprised with how our room is updated with modern fixtures and is very clean, albeit small but overall comfortable. Room has good sound insulation, although it's located on the 2nd floor and on the street side, we hardly heard any street noise. Staff was very pleasant, helpful and very responsive to any issues and requests we had. Thanks Flavie, Grace and Mohammed for making our stay a pleasant one.

Best Western Prince Montmartre

Rue Ordener, 116, Paris - Map
"Great little hotel is lovely Paris neighborhood."
We stayed at a large, expensive hotel for two nights before we moved to the Best Western. I knew as soon as we got out of the Metro, that we were going to love the area. The hotel was very nice. We did not eat the option breakfast since there was a great pastry shop just a short block and a half away. The room was small, but very nice, clean, comfortable and just what we were looking for. The staff was very nice, I should write a terrible review since they may raise the rate after a lot of good reviews.

"50th Birthday Surprise"
I was very disappointed that I didn't get what I expected.I booked a superior room as this was for my husband's 50th birthday surprise - he'd no idea we were going to Paris. The room description and images when I booked showed a lovely double walk in shower in a larger bathroom than that shown for a standard double room. However the bathroom wasn't as shown in the pictures and I note that the option to view the pictures linked to the room has now been removed! It also stated at the time of booking that the room had a mini bar, stocked with some free items, slippers and a waterfall shower. However no free items in the mini bar, no slippers and the tiniest bathroom going with no waterfall shower! The shower screen only reached the width of about a third of the shower tray so everything in the bathroom got soaked, toilet roll included. The description for the mini bar has now changed and it merely states "fridge". I purposely booked a superior room as I wanted the more luxurious bathroom with the extras, but I got none of it. The staff were helpful and offered other rooms, but they were all the same. I questioned whether the room was in fact a superior room and they were adamant it was. I felt totally ripped off paying the extra for something I didn't get. Having said that, the reception staff were lovely, as was the hotel and the breakfast was good. Do watch out though if you are a little on the round side - neither my normal-size shusband nor I fit in the lift with our suitcase

Hotel Le Montmartre Saint Pierre

10 Rue De Clignancourt, Paris - Map
"Well located for Montmarte and reasonably priced"
First impressions were a bit mixed. We walked from the Gard du Nord and it only took 10-15 minutes. However the area is very ethnic in nature, very busy and bustling. The street the hotel is located in was quieter and only a short walk from the Montmarte area which is extremely pleasant. Hotel staff were very friendly and courteous from desk staff, breakfast assistant and cleaners. Hotel room had recently been renovated so was freshly decorated and bathroom modern and clean. The stairwells have yet to receive the makeover however, and the lift is quite small, two people with cases and it's full. The room had a small hanging area for clothes with two shelves. Breakfast consisted of a croissant, roll and pastry, choice of cereals, cheese, yoghurts and juice and hot drinks. Breakfast room is a bit on the small side and difficulty finding a table at busy times.

Hotel Les Jardins de Montmartre

131 Rue Ordener, Paris - Map
"Good location for getting around Paris"
The hotel is in a nice area of Montmartre and in walking distance to the Metro station Jules Joffrin giving access to explore the rest of the city. Its a small but well kept establishment, the room we had was also small but clean and tidy and had coffee/tea making facilities. The room didn't have air-con so would I expect it to be extremely hot in summer months we even had to use the electric fan provided in the room in late September. We didn't take breakfast - thought it was a little expensive and the small/compact dining area wouldn't have compensated for the price so we ate out at little cafes along the way instead.
