Details

Leaving Glasgow, your luxury mini-coach takes you into the heartland of the Scottish Highlands. Cross the Firth of Clyde and travel past Dumbarton's imposing rock, with its equally impressive castle, down the 'Road to the Isles' past the castles of Inveraray, Kilchurn, and Dunstaffnage.

Stop in the beautiful village of Luss on the "bonnie, bonnie Banks" of Loch Lomond before climbing into the Highlands on a route marked by several dramatic castles and lochs. Stop for lunch at the picturesque fishing town of Oban, with its horseshoe bay and MacCaig's Folly.

After lunch, journey south and pause to admire the spectacular Kilchurn Castle, majestically situated on Loch Awe and beautifully framed by mountains. Travel to Glencoe, one of Scotland's most haunting glens and site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald clan.

Continue to the final stop at Inveraray, and choose to explore either the Dunstaffnage or Inveraray Castle, historic seat of the Duke of Argyll. Admire the Kilchurn Castle, majestically situated on Loch Awe along the way. Explore the white-washed Georgian houses, wide streets, and views across Loch Fyne in Inverarary. The return trip journeys over the 'Rest and be Thankful' before rejoining the Great Western Road back to Glasgow.
