Not bad for Down Town
One block from the end Fremont Street. Hotel was not bad, but had to walk up 3 flights of steps to my room. Would stay there again since the rate was really good. Some people might not like the smell of smoke from the casino.

The El Cortez Experience
I found the El Cortez Hotel & Casino to be very nice... the room was spacious and the hotel is very close to the Fremont Street Experience... It was very affordable.... My only concern was the room smelled of cigarettes and we didnt have the plasma TV advertised...

Perfect Location for the Fremont St. Experience
The El Cortez is located on Fremont St. just one block from Fremont St. experience. The rooms were clean and spacious. The only complaints I have is there was no hair dryer in the room and they charged a pretty steep price for Wifi access. This is a yuppy free casino.
