very impressed,will go back
this hotel was beautiful.well never stay at another hotel.everything was abselutly wonderful.our room had a view of the tank & swimming area.we had a blast & we didnt even have to go out of our hotel.it was very relaxing.I went down the slide.oh my goodness,it was amazing.the water was so warm & it was really great to be in the pool & get right up to the tank & see the sharks up close.the nightclub was pretty cool to.you could have a drink on the balcony & watch the light show or just check out freemont street.we were suppose to check out on sunday but we ended up staying until thursday.we had about 2 hours til ckeck out,i went into the casino put a $50 into a dollar machine.i had 18 credits left and i hit 3 flaming red sevens.it gave me $1000.00.i cashed out & we left.we were in the gold tower and i highly recomend this hotel to every one.at least try it for 1 time.

Just OK - :o(
Room was new - but way too dark for our taste. Looks great, but then reality sets in with uncomfortable sofa; sinks that splash, side of tub is way too high, and no place to feel secure in the tub. Love the Nugget overall but will ask for one of the older rooms next time, maybe in the Gold Tower.

Nice hotel but noisy
We spent 3 nights at the Golden Nugget. Room was comfortable and nice. The only complaints we had were the noise from the street (we were on the 12th floor of the Carson Tower) and the layout of the floors - after spending 4 days there, we still got lost trying to find our room. Dining tip - down the street at the Golden Gate there is a restaurant called the Bay City Diner. Very good food at a reasonable cost. Also, dont miss Carl Ferris, the saxophone player that plays in front of the Golden Nugget in the evenings on Freemont street - he is fabulous!
