Beautiful Hotel in a Convenient Location
The building is beautiful and very well maintained. The location is very convenient. We could easily walk to see the sights of the Gaslamp District. The wait staff at the restaurant was very friendly and the food was good. The valets brought our car around immediately when we called for it. We would stay there again.

Pretty Nice Hotel
I must say that I was a bit worried at staying at a Courtyard Marriott being that we tend to stay at 4 and 5 star hotels although being that we are cutting costs due to the economy I decided that it was better that we not spend so much $$$ on a hotel. I was very pleased with the hotel. It had very friendly service upon and check in and everyone seemed very helpful. The architecture of the hotel inside and out is very impressive. I really enjoyed looking up as we walked in and seeing the ceiling. It was beautiful. When we walked out of the elevator to get to our room I almost felt like I was in an old movie. You can tell there is a lot of history in this hotel. It was kinda neat. The doors were old doors from way back when. Our room was a bit small. I almost felt like I was in New York. If you are looking for a hotel with a view then this is not a hotel for you. It is centrally located and there is lots to do. I would say that the lobby of the hotel is much more impressive than the rooms. The rooms serve their purpose if you are not going to be in the room much. It worked well for us as we checked in, took showers, and went to dinner & out for drinks! So overall I would say Yes! This hotel is pretty cool.

Pleasant and helpful staff - great experience
We stayed for 4 nights in early January, 2010. We thought the hotel was beautiful - old bank building that has been renovated. Lots of original wood trim and special features that made the hotel special and unique. We found the staff extremely friendly and very helpful. They simply could not do enough for us. Everyone greeted with you a smile, and answered every question we had. The wait staff in the restaurant and bar were equally friendly. We especially appreciated the use of a complimentary computer in the lobby as we do not travel with a laptop. This is something we always look for when we book a hotel and there was a computer available every time we needed to use one. Overall, very impressed and we would certainly stay at this hotel again!
