Highly Recommend
We loved t he hotel and its location. It is a boutique hotel at a very good price. Very clean and the continental breakfast was excellent. Close to restaurants and shopping. Staff spoke English and were very helpful. Would return again.

St. Germain area hotel provided quality stay
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Le Jardin de Cluny. It is a totally non-smoking and bio hotel. Our room was spacious and clean as was the modern bath. The location is excellent for walking to cafes, shops, the Metro, the Seine, and attractions. The staff was very friendly and Andre was very helpful. Breakfast is served in a wine cellar type cave two levels below the street - very unique! We thought it was a good value especially for Paris and would definitely stay there again.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Two restaurants we enjoyed for dinner were Mediterranee for excellent seafood and service and DChez Eux which serves excellent traditional French country cuisine but is a bit pricey. Try the escargot, duck pate, and cassoulet! Visit Save the Queen - an inventive womens boutique on St. Germain. Loved the clothes.

Great Location, Modern Rooms
We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in Aug 2009. It looked like the rooms were recently renovated. Very small rooms but modern furniture and bathroom. It is one block behind St.Germain so it was very quiet. It was quite walkable to all of the major tourist sites, the Eiffel Tower was the furthest and probably about a 35-40 minute walk. Everything else was within about 20 minutes max. Theres a couple of grocery stores about a block or two away. Metro station is a block away. The only things I found cheap in Paris was the bread, crepes, and water. Theres a great bakery, charcuterie, wine, and cheese shops just around the corner from the hotel. Great to pick up a few things for a nice picnic at one of the parks. When you leave the hotel, make a right and follow to the end of the street. Turn left and theyll be right there on your right-hand side. Right in front of the Metro station. When I go back to Paris I will definitely check the rates at this hotel again.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
If youre planning a day trip to Versailles, dont bother with the 70 euro/person tour buses. Walk to the Metro station mentioned above and just buy a ticket to Versailles. It is something like 8 euros per person you hop on the subway, transfer to a outside train and it takes you there in about an hour. The ticket to tour the palace and gardens at Versailles is about 15 euros if I recall.
