Home away from home.
I have stayed here now over 4 times. Very quiet and totally renovated. Love it!! Very nice getaway!!

Better than expected
Don’t let the exterior of the building fool you. When we were given our rooms, we could not believe how great our room was. Loved the bathroom with the jet tub and shower which could be used as a steam room. Everything in the room was just great. Within an hour of getting there, front desk called to ask if there was anything more they can do. I never been to any hotels that would call to ask us that. Would definitely stay there again.

Rooms are freezing cold
I have stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed it. However, over the summer they installed air conditioning units in the rooms with what look like two plastic dryer vents directly to the outside. I assume for in and out air flow. They do not block or insulate these vents in the winter and so it is like having a window open all the time in the room. You can feel the cold air blast in from outside. It was -35 in Banff and the living/dining room was so unpleasant I couldn’t sit in it. When I brought the concern to the front desk, they were aware of complaints but said their maintenance people think nothing is wrong. It’s plainly obvious that the vents should be blocked in the winter. I can’t believe they would think this was normal. The front desk staff indicated they had to move many people and asked me to fill out a customer service card in an attempt to get maintenance to really believe they have a problem. Too bad the management lets maintenance ignore the comfort of guests. I would recommend this hotel if they fix the problem but I will never stay there again the way it is now.
