Rimrock is a gem!!!
This hotel is a jewel in the rockies!! Surrounded by lush forest, nice walking trails right out your front door. Hot springs just a 5 min walk away. This resort is a bit out of town, so if you’re looking for the nightlife, shopping, and restaurant selection, you’ll probably want to stay right in Banff. Rimrock provides everything you need for a relaxing mountain stay.

Unexpected parking expense and less than great housekeeping service
We were not expecting the daily charge for parking that we were informed about at check-in, particularly because the location of this hotel, some distance outside of Banff, means you really need a car to get there. Many hotels right in Banff offered free parking and we’ll opt for that next time. Although we paid a surcharge to have three people in the room, we had to ask each day, for enough towels, glasses, etc. for three people. On one occasion, our garbage was not picked up or papers that had spilled onto the floor removed. The rooms were comfortable enough and had a great view, as the hotel is built into the side of a mountain. But I think the T.V. in our room had to be 15 years old. It was so small you could not easily view it from both beds. They must be upgrading some rooms, however, as we observed, from outside, at least one room with a large flat screen T.V. They also have a nice pool and fitness facility.
