Good Deal
I got a great rate at this hotel and was a little skeptical about how good it would be--it seemed too good a deal to be true. However, my check-in experience was wonderful, the room was spacious and clean, the free breakfast was edible (not always the case with free breakfast) and I was thoroughly satisfied. I dont want to over praise the place. It is a Holiday Inn, not the Four Seasons. But it is an excellent Holiday Inn.

Will go back for sure
Just a little east of the downtown core and reasonably priced. Buffet breakfast was simple but complete and all you can eat. Will be back in Febuary..

Good Deal Downtown
If youre looking for an inexpensive place within easy walking of downtown Toronto attractions, its hard to beat this. Nothing fancy. Breakfast, included, was actually not too bad. Of course the eating area is cramped and for some reason they had the heat cranked up in addition to all the heat lamps. Parkings convenient and reasonable. Make sure you ask to be in a room away from the elevator. We didnt, and due to the room layout we slept literally 15 feet from the elevator door.
Frans across from Massey Hall, near the Eaton Centre, has great food. A clean diner atmosphere.

Pleasant staff
Every staff member we encountered was smiling. The staff in the breakfast room was cheery, the breakfast had a very good selection of healthy choices. The beds were great. Definitely will go again.

Rooms were small - felt crammed in.
Most hotels have sofa so you can watch tv on your downtime. The beds were double not queen. The view was not nice - rough buildings and constructions around. Four of us had to sit/lie on the bed to watch tv, nowhere to sit. There was really nothing to do in the hotel, no swimming pool. The parking was expensive. Kinda in a rough area. The breakfast was good though. The ratings were good for the hotel but was not to my taste. Would not stay again.
Traveller's tip on dining
The Japanese Restaurant corner of the hotel was very tasty.

Good Spot
The room was good and the location is ok. Close to the market and transit (but what isnt in Toronto).

Good for the price
When I checked in all the hotel had was smoking rooms, even though I had requested non-smoking. To accommadate my request, they gave me an upgraded room at no additional cost to me. The free breakfast included bacon, sausage, eggs, toast, etc. The front desk was extremely helpful in giving directions and suggesting places to eat. The hotel is a bit far from the nearest subway station, but in Toronto you learn to walk.

Just Fine
If youre looking for a good basic hotel, this is the place. Room was average, bordering on small size, and well kept. Wireless internet access was reliable and free. Parking garage was $20 a day, but room rates more than made up the difference. If you want a big room at a fancy hotel, go stay at the Kind Eddy around the corner...but you will pay a lot more for that.

Good place to be close to downtown
It is a very convenient and inexpensive hotel if you want to visit Toronto downtown. Walking distance to many amenities, parking is cheap and you can leave your car and walk downtown, breakfast is inlcuded.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
I you visit I would suggest to start with a bus tour. This will give you a good idea on what you would be interested to see in detail. The City Pass saves you money on entrance to CN tower, museums, casa loma house, etc, and it also saves you long waiting lines.

Good hotel for your money
Hotel was pretty clean great continetal breakfast. Bathroom could have been cleaner, dirty marks on the wall, hair on the floor. Had to pay $2 per 15 min. other hotels are usually free. I personally think for the money you pay to sleep and shower in the hotel they could provide internet for free.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
I would suggest to go to the CN Tower for supper. It was great especially at sunset.

good location and very decent for the price
enjoyed my stay and will definitely go back. friendly staff and the location is superb. the breakfast is truly a plus as one does not need to venture in the cold and windy Toronto to find food. Choices are simple but pleasant. One minus point: some of the hotel room doors have loose springs and since the usual hotel guest loves to slam their doors at any time of day and night, be prepared!

Great Hotel
The Holiday Inn Express in Downtown Toronto provide us with an excellent stay. The staff was helpful and friendly when we arrived, our room was clean with a beautiful view of the city, breakfast was delicious in the morning, and they were equally as warm when we checked out. The hotel is within walking distance of the Air Canada Centre as well as the Rodgers Centre and you pass tons of great bars and restaurants on the way.

Good value, would go back
Convenient location, clean, good breakfast, could hear traffic all night as our room was on street side. Check-in was a bit slow, but perhaps due to a new staff member. Only one elevator working when checking out, but these things do happen.
Traveller's tip on shopping
Close to shopping district & Union Station.

Overall, a good experience: comfortable beds, warm breakfast.
Overall, this is a reasonable place to stay for business. It includes a very comfortable bed, free wireless internet, included warm breakfast, and a convenient downtown location. Although the room is rather small, Ive stayed more than once and will do so again.
