not too bad I guess!

Very disappointed in some aspects of this hotel. Upon arriving by the Downtown Express bus we went to what said the lobby entrance only to find 3 levels of stairs. Upon the second level there was a phone to call for baggage carry up service of which was non-functional, so I had to carry 3 50lbs suitcases up the stairs by myself to the entrance, only to find another staircase upon entering. Not a pleasant entrance to say the least. Check in was quick, easy and friendly. Room was ok upon entering but coffee cups provided were filthy. Called for new cups only to have person walk into the room unannounced. This happen again where someone entered without notice to check on the room. Next day blankets were on the floor and bed was not made when we came back. When I called about this, I later came back to my room to find a bag of bedding and room still not made up. Fridge in room is not a fridge, not even a cooler. Pool area was nice and pool staff were quite pleasant. Views were spectacular, even through the filthy windows. Walls were paper thin so you could hear neighbor in the washroom. Lounge area food was way over priced as was the snacks in the gift shop, so take advantage of many of the shops and restaurants in the area. Construction and pile drivers across the street start at 7am, so plan on getting up early on a week day. Hotel lobby area is spectacular and well maintained.

Exhausted guests

Everything about the hotel was wonderful except that we didn’t get ANY sleep at all. It is kind of ironic that their promotional brochures etc. express the hope of the hotel that you have a relaxing, restorative visit. Ours was anything but. Location, quality and comfort were excellent. However, our room was right in the middle of party central 101. We’re talking about laughing and shouting, doors slamming and people making out in the hall all night long. The friday night party ended at 4:15am with us making only one call to the front desk. Saturday night the party never ended and I was stil awake at 5:30am. By this time, we were phoning the night manager every 1/2 hour and he assured us that the situation was being taken care of. Not so....he did nothing to put an end to the noise and thus we were all awake ALL NIGHT. This is not what one would expect at a hotel of this quality. The night manager did not do his job!!!

It was just okay....

Check-in was a little crazy...they offered valet service but left my car sitting there unlocked for quite some time. I was stressed out the whole trip wondering where my car was and if it was locked. The room was nice and clean (for the most part) but we did have a weird service guy coming in WHILE we were showering to "fix a cabinet." It was very odd. Overall, the hotel was in a good location and we enjoyed ourselves but I’m not too sure I’d stay there again.
